COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We use Anaheim and Serrano chilis to add some heat to this crisp golden ale. It's not too hot and has a good chili flavor.

This is a surprisingly good chili beer. It brings the heat but it isn’t overwhelming and there is a solid beer beneath it. Tried at the brewery with the parents in 2013.

Draft at Coopersmith’s. pours light orang with some yellow. Aroma is big chili spice with a little spicy hops. Taste is chili spice that burns in a good way. Has that same raunchy note from dirty lines; can’t get past it.

Tap. The look is clear, white head, and golden in color. The smell is fresh bright chilies, bread, jalapeño, and cheese. The taste is some heat, veggies, ok, malt, and bread.

Pours a clear gold with little head. Aroma of chillis melds into slightly bready notes. Similar taste, with very mild chili flavors -- just enough to announce their presence -- quickly dissipating into a crisp, slightly bitter golden ale. Crisp, dry finish with very little residual heat.

On tap at the brewpub, I had a five ounce glass of this which was plenty. Golden yellow with a couple bubbles on top. The smell was really good, all peppers, reminded me of sniffing nachos covered in jalapeños. The taste was mostly peppers with some heat to it. I thought this was well executed for a chile pepper beer but I still couldn’t see myself drinking a whole pint of this. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 06-09-2011 23:24:49

on tap-pours yellow with a white head. Aroma is chili with some bite. Taste is chili, sweet light malt. Then the chili heats the back of the throat as time goes by.
