2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 jimhilt (2166) - Bow, USA - APR 27, 2004
Pours with a off-white two-fingered head that fades and leaves a lot lace. Clear amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Some hops, no sweetness, typical of a pale finishes smooth but with a bitter aftertaste. $1.75 for a 12oz bottle.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3388) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 20, 2012
My wife brought this one back from a trip to Rochester. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very overcarbonated orange-amber color with a huge foamy orange-white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was faint grapefruit and lemon with a yeasty undertone. The flavor was dryish and bitter with light grapefruit and a touch of bread. The finish was long, dry, bitter and had lingering grapefruit. Way too carbonated with an otherwise medium body. Eh.

Not a great pale ale, ends with a bitter sort of aftertaste. Glad I tried it, but probably won’t pick it up again.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Maverick34 (1419) - New York, USA - JAN 14, 2012
light copper pour medium head - bandaid/astringent aroma. Light malts and caramel, not well balanced, something just isn’t working right in this one.
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Bif (623) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 2, 2011
Bottle- Pours a lazy copper color with a small head and some lacing. Fresh grain aroma with some citrus and caramel sweetness. Taste of some malty sweetness with grain and a nice bitterness. Has a dry finish.
Fairly medium body, quite creamy. Nice Balance Very enjoyable APA. Reminds me of an English Pale Ale. Nice beer from a regional brewer.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 pete4999 (673) - Buffalo, New York, USA - SEP 12, 2011
Bottled and on tap. Tastes significantly better on tap, though it may just have been that the beer was fresher. A bit darker than I was expecting, and not quite as hoppy. However, it has a good refreshing taste despite the less-than-crisp mouthfeel...a solid all-around beer.

Pours a copper/amber color, with a caramel and malt aroma. Similarly, it tastes of malts, but left me with a bitter finish. Not one I would go out of my way to get.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2011 Tap @ the Brewery, Milford, NY. Served in taster glass. Also had in a 12 oz bottle from the brewery. Nose is a English Pale Ale. Light fruit and bready malt. Flavor is sweet caramel malt and some hop character, a bit grainy. Slightly thin body and drily astringent. Overall decent as long as you get it fresh. To me has more of a English Pale Ale Feel.

12 ounce bottle pour. Golden color with a light white head. Light hoppy aroma and taste. Light bodied. Not much here.

Draught sample at the brewery. Pours a hazy amber with an off-white head. The aroma is mild caramel and malt with a few notes of citrus. The flavor is similar but is a more solid dose of caramel and malt. Some mild-moderate hops bitterness at the finish. Straightforward pale ale. No problems.

Taste is pretty par for the course for a pale ale. Good hop presence and well-balanced with the malts. Finishes relatively crisp and smooth. Very drinkable and solid pale ale.
