COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Pride of Milford" is a very special ale with a tapestry of complex flavors and aromas. It is brewed with five malts and fermented with the Ringwood yeast at a higher temperature which gives this beer a uniqueness all its own. "Pride" has a distinctive reddish copper color. It is strong and rich beer. When "Pride" was first brewed in December 1999, many thought the flavor and aromas of this beer had fruit overtones. No fruit or adjunct flavoring is added to this beer.

This beer had a medium sized tan head with fine-large bubbles that was mostly diminishing. The body of this beer was clear with a little bit of carbonation observed. The hue was reddish-copper and there was no lacing. The nose was malt and alcohol and the flavor was malty and a little bitter from start to finish. The mouthfeel was tingly, smooth texture and light bodied. At 7.7% ABV the alcohol was not overpowering in my opinion.

This brew poured a small head of fine to medium sized light brown mostly diminishing bubbles that left a no lacing and a transparent dark amber colored uncarbonated body behind. Its aroma is a very nicecaramel malt one and its mouthfeel is initially strong with a high alcohol content feel that smoothens in its finish leaving a lingering malt hop feeling and flavor. The flavor is a medium strong malt hoppy one with elements of spice.

poured a clear brownish amber with little head...malty aroma with touches of overripe apple, alcohol, and banana liquor...some malty apple flavors with some sweetness riding along..semi-creamy mouthfeel with just a sliver of bitterness at the end..pretty smooth for 7.7%..but nothing stands out as extraordinary

Dark bronze with a fair head. Alcohol, bready yeast and massive malts make up the nose. A really fine nose it is. The alcohol is evident at first sip, but in no way is it overpowering. Sweet malts are strong but not overly sour sweet like most doppelbocks. Bitter at the end with a lingering alcohol effect. Very good! Go Cubs!!!

Cherry, fruity, yeast nose. Ruby amber hue. Sticky off-white head. Very sweet, smooth and light texture/body. Start is all malt, flows very smooth over palate. Yeast provides nice fruitiness. Very drinkable, alcohol is not evident at all. Finishes with a light bitter lingering finish.

Deep brownish red body topped by a medium thick quickly disappearing head that leaves good lace behind. Sweet vanilla malt aroma with a touch of hops and alcohol. Slightly sweet malt flavor with bitter background and a strong bitter finish. Medium to full bodied and relatively dry.
