COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Pride of Milford" is a very special ale with a tapestry of complex flavors and aromas. It is brewed with five malts and fermented with the Ringwood yeast at a higher temperature which gives this beer a uniqueness all its own. "Pride" has a distinctive reddish copper color. It is strong and rich beer. When "Pride" was first brewed in December 1999, many thought the flavor and aromas of this beer had fruit overtones. No fruit or adjunct flavoring is added to this beer.

hopscotch (9038) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 21, 2004
Crystal clear amber ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The nose is loaded with caramel, butter and toffee... everything malt. The flavor isn't balanced at all. Very malty and sweet. Nice toffee, caramel, dried plum and light smoke notes. Interesting hops. Full-bodied with a syrupy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Bitter-sweet finish. The beer really becomes great when warmed to room temperature.

jercraigs (7699) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 15, 2004
Amber body with a big fluffy off white head that recedes leaving a still respectable head of foam. Aroma is pleasantly malty with a bit of caramel and butterscotch (perhaps a touch of diacetyl, but I am not sure). Pleasantly sweet with a bit of bitterness to balance it. Something odd but not unpleasant floating about in the finish. Thanks for sharing Ken.

Bottle. Brown beer with a tan head. Citrus and caramel/toffee aroma. Citrus and caramel flavor with light earthiness. Medium bodied. Citrus and caramel/toffee lingers with light earth.

Bottle bonus courtesy of Cletus. Pours copper with thin tan head. The modest aroma has notes of apple, pears, sugar sweet malts, a bit of crystal malts and a touch of caramelization. The taste has caramelized malts mixing with prunes, apples and pears. It smooths out into the finish leaving sweetness and slight tart fruitiness to linger into the after taste.

Bottle. Pours a hazed amber with a crimson hue and a medium sized beige head that deflates quickly. Sweet fruity plum, oxidization, and a touch of paper. Medium bodied, a touch of sourness and a tartness. This one definitely got infected, but it’s not horrible. Seems to work somehow. Tart and sweet, oxidization and a bit of paper. Papery infection on the back end. Drinkable, and given the nose, turned out better than expected, but probably not what it was meant to be. Still sort of enjoyed it.

deyholla (6568) - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA - MAY 6, 2011
Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber with an off-white head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma is full of bread with a bit of caramel and hints of dark fruits. Flavor begins full of bread as well with a bit of a sweetness (biscuit) and a balancing dark fruit note in the finish. Nice and smooth on the tongue.
