"Pride of Milford" is a very special ale with a tapestry of complex flavors and aromas. It is brewed with five malts and fermented with the Ringwood yeast at a higher temperature which gives this beer a uniqueness all its own. "Pride" has a distinctive reddish copper color. It is strong and rich beer. When "Pride" was first brewed in December 1999, many thought the flavor and aromas of this beer had fruit overtones. No fruit or adjunct flavoring is added to this beer.

Aroma: The nose of this beer comes off as overly sweet, fruity, and a bit malty as well
Appearance: The one pours a reddish-orange color with a small off-white head
Flavor: The taste is pretty much just like the nose, overly sweet, fruity and malty
Palate: The body is medium-plus, it has a decent feel, though it does get a little bit sticky
Overall Impression: I wasnít a huge fan of this one. It just drank too sweetly for my tastes, and lacked the balance I was looking for. It isnít terrible, but it isnít really that good either.

Bottle courtesy of MaltDawg on 01/15/2011 at the 13th Richmond Gathering. Clear golden body with a small off-white head. Big caramel and light malt aroma. Sweet caramel, light malt and toast flavor. Medium light body with moderate carbonation.

Poured a nice copper color, but had very little off white head which quickly dissipated. Aroma was a bit of sourish cherries with caramel malt underneath. Had low carbonation which was ok for this beer and overall balanced for the % alcohol with a bit of a fruity/cherry finish.

Pour is orangey amber with a thin off white head...smell is vegetable...taste is rather sweet and vegetable-ish as well...I would not be proud of this...

Picked up at the brewery during a trip to Cooperstown. Was not impressed with the place after visiting Ommegang first. Fruity taste, even though it is not a fruit beer. Of the beers sampled at the brewery it was the best, but overall, just OK, nothing special.

Clear copper body topped by a foamy beige head. Hardly any aroma at all. Weak scent of caramel if anything. Watery texture. Flat. Thin. Flavor was almost nil. Just not a good beer.
