COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Pride of Milford" is a very special ale with a tapestry of complex flavors and aromas. It is brewed with five malts and fermented with the Ringwood yeast at a higher temperature which gives this beer a uniqueness all its own. "Pride" has a distinctive reddish copper color. It is strong and rich beer. When "Pride" was first brewed in December 1999, many thought the flavor and aromas of this beer had fruit overtones. No fruit or adjunct flavoring is added to this beer.

I am a fan of Cooperstown brewery. This one is a strong kick ass beer. Great flavor, fruity at some level yet I know there is no added flavors to the beer. Nice red color, excellent head and lacing. Very hard for me to not rate this as one of my favorite ales. The only down side is it is not readily available in my area, I get it at local stores by my sonís college. He graduates this month, but I am told it is available via the web site to NY residents. My good fortune!

The body has a rich amber color, good clarity and light off white head. The head fades quickly to just a thin wispy covering. This makes a little slick lacing on the glass. The aroma has a firm malty character with a good hit of earthy and lightly citrusy hops. The flavor reflects nose with its solid, lightly toasted malty base. The malt sweetness has some toffee and nuttiness with mellow fruity notes blended with both juicy and earthy hop notes. Hop bitterness keep the sweetness in check and gives good balance to the finish. This also makes this beer very drinkable even at 7.7%abv. The palate is a medium bodied with balanced carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a reddish brown color with a sweet malty and bready taste. Not too heavy and nothing special. Like a boozier esb ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Brown pour with slightly off-white head. Aroma of dark fruit, toffee, and caramel. Dark fruit flavor with toffee and a hint of sourness. Decent beer.

Aroma: The nose of this beer comes off as overly sweet, fruity, and a bit malty as well
Appearance: The one pours a reddish-orange color with a small off-white head
Flavor: The taste is pretty much just like the nose, overly sweet, fruity and malty
Palate: The body is medium-plus, it has a decent feel, though it does get a little bit sticky
Overall Impression: I wasnít a huge fan of this one. It just drank too sweetly for my tastes, and lacked the balance I was looking for. It isnít terrible, but it isnít really that good either.

Bottle. Pours a hazed amber with a crimson hue and a medium sized beige head that deflates quickly. Sweet fruity plum, oxidization, and a touch of paper. Medium bodied, a touch of sourness and a tartness. This one definitely got infected, but itís not horrible. Seems to work somehow. Tart and sweet, oxidization and a bit of paper. Papery infection on the back end. Drinkable, and given the nose, turned out better than expected, but probably not what it was meant to be. Still sort of enjoyed it.

Aroma is sweetish malts and hint of vinous notes. The flavor is fruit/berries, medium sweetness and a mix of smooth and tangy in the finish.

Picked up at the brewery during a trip to Cooperstown. Was not impressed with the place after visiting Ommegang first. Fruity taste, even though it is not a fruit beer. Of the beers sampled at the brewery it was the best, but overall, just OK, nothing special.

Poured a nice copper color, but had very little off white head which quickly dissipated. Aroma was a bit of sourish cherries with caramel malt underneath. Had low carbonation which was ok for this beer and overall balanced for the % alcohol with a bit of a fruity/cherry finish.

My wife brought this one back from a trip to Rochester. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a heavily carbonated orange-caramel color with a large foamy off white head that left no lacing. The aroma was ripe cherries, figs and pears with faint caramel and bread underneath. The flavor was tangy caramel and butterscotch with notes of pear, apple, raisin and fig underneath. The finish was short with a touch of bread and fruit. Light to medium body but overcarbonated. Eh.

Bottle- Pours aruby brown color with a small head and bit of lacing. Nice aroma of caramel, a bit fruity with some spice. Taste of some caramel sweetness, a bit of fruit and some spice. A nice easy bitterness and a clean finish. fairly mdium, smooth and quite dry. No hint of the 7.7 ABV. Well balanced. very enjoyable ale. Another good beer from a regional brewer
