Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 5, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a clear, pilsener golden with a creamy, white head. Very neutral aroma with a wee whiff of malt. Light-bodied with a soft but decent malty feel. Almost some caramelish notes. No aftertaste, no bitterness, but for a light beer this really ain’t that bad. 060406 hopscotch (4755), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Apr 24, 2004 Crystal clear, straw-colored lager with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma and flavor are pretty much nondescript. Seltzer-like. Ultra light- bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Very short, crisp, clean finish. Given a choice, I guess I'd go with seltzer water. It's less expensive and has fewer carbs while tasting the same.
BückDich (4618), Boise, Idaho, USA Apr 28, 2004 Ohhhh yeah, low carb macro drinking. n/a percentile, sweet! ok: Pale golden color with a tiny island of foam at the top that just screams castaway. stuck in the middle of nowhere without any beer, just fish and coconuts....until there is a huge hurricane (smell) that brings along some corn, lots of dust & sand and some faint sweet tropical malt. But this island was shortlived because it was swallowed up. Not by the ocean, but of this beer drinking fool typing this, laughing, laughing. The island tastes vaguely of malt, but is more like water than anything. Fresh water though, not salt water. A bit too grainy and dusty though. You know how you have to take a shot right or it burns? same thing here. Overall I’d consider this a castaway experience. I’m not satisfied about the whole thing, but sure am a bit smarter now that I’ve been stranded there. The lesson I’ve learned is to not fly Coors. The end. Cornfield (4468), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Sep 13, 2004 If you’re a low-carb fanatic, then you’re a silly sack of manure. However... This is one of the few truly drinkable low-carb brews to come out recently. Not a bad malty aroma under a golden body with a slight white head. It goes good with thin-crust pizza,,, at least at Nick & Vito’s. muzzlehatch (4429), Burlington, Vermont, USA Apr 4, 2004 12 oz bottle. Oh come now guys, you're really over-slamming this above average effort from poor lil' ol Coors. Appearance: bubbly apple juice. Sweet corn nose, not as stale as I’d expect. Very little flavor though not as nauseating as many. Sweet, no malt or hops to speak of, faky, but seems more beerlike than other low-carbs. Nasty metallic bitterness at the end derails a fine fine effort.
