2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: MAY 1, 2013 I am rerating this beer since my initial tasting in January 2013. I had a bottle last night and the hop oil aroma jumped out at me. I had not noticed that before, so it may have been reformulated. The amber color is pleasant, but the hop oil aroma is too intense for the low bitterness. All in all a decent product from Coors, but certainly not pre-prohibition style. The use of caramel malts and hop oil screams modern microbeer. Coors light drinkers do not like this product at all (which is no surprise), but I do not think that microbrew drinkers will like it either as it is too middle of the road. What is interesting is the fact that the major brewers are now trying to break into the craft beer scene. Who would have thought just 20 years ago that they would ever make anything besides cheap, watered down, bland lagers?

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Batch 19 is a lovely shade of gold, ultra clear and mildly fizzy. Nice creamy white head that dissipates after about a minute. No lacing. It smells of perfume, pears and spicy bread. The taste is a mild bitterness in the front that becomes a bit sweet and then finishes long and dry. Picking up some caramel apple notes. Feels light bodied and refreshing. Definitely a step up from the typical BMC fare. A decent American interpretation of a pilsener style beer. Not earth shattering but a good, solid session beer. I will definitely have another.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear gold with lots of visual carbonation. Lasting off white head with a little lacing. The aroma is of light malt. Medium body with lots of tang from the carbonation. Finishes clean and a little dry. Not bad at all.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
2/28 Bottle - Decent malt smell, OK but not a very strong taste or feel, and very light to drink. I prefer stronger beers and tastes, but this was a decent beer for what it is.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a bottle. Small head that lasted awhile. No lacing. Slight malt aroma. Flavorful taste, better than a cheap American lager, but not remarkable.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tasted on 1/17/15 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased in a mixed six pack from the grocery store. Pours clear pale golden with a thick white head that quickly recedes to an average collar of lace. This is pretty typical macro pale lager with sweet corny cereal malt, and just a touch of grassy hops. The flavor is a bit more expressive than the typical pale lager, showing corny malt with a touch of caramel depth, and just a light hint of grassy hops. The body is light with fizzy carbonation and a short, lightly grassy finish.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear medium amber with a foamy white head, and swirls of lace. Taste is light caramel malt with a light shot of hops in the finish. Not much happens, but the flavor trumps pretty much everything else Coors produces. It’s drinkable. Enough said.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Backlog rating on 11-18-2012 (Bottle) The appearance is a small, creamy, smooth off-white head with a long retention, transparent golden body, lively, fast rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. The aroma is grainy malt and a suggestion of corn. The flavor is lightly sweet, hint of hops and malt. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer does not have a lot of character to it. The flavor is not bad, but it does not leave me wanting this beer again.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at Coors. Same amber color and thin lacing head. Light grain and hops. Well carbonated. It has some flavor. Ok.
