COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewing Extra Gold Lager requires uncommon patience. Patience in the slow aging of the roasted malts. Patience to take the thtree extra brewing steps needed to craft every batch. This added time and effort yeilds an exceptional, refined lager.

Sham (1846) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 23, 2005
Bronze with a light frothy head. No lace and small carbonation. Metallic bitterness in the nose with some grass notes and corn. The flavor is acrid and full of corn. There is again notes of the metal floating about. Thin, watery palate and a finish of corn and small malts. Not very good, really.

I read in the brewery description that they take three extra steps to make this beer. They should just skip the extra step and make more of the regular coors. This one sucks!

Better than regular Coors and cheaper. Don’t buy regular Coors if they have Extra Gold. Don’t buy Extra Gold unless you’re having a barbecue and are strapped for cash. Seriously, for a beer in the price range of High Life, this is pretty good.

Man we drank a bunch of this stuff back in High... errr.... well you know back in the day. Why is it called extra gold? I guess I should know that. The aroma is light, the appearance is not that extra gold to me, looks like regular Coors. The flavor is not that Extra either, taste like regular Coors as well.

I agree; this is the best Coors has to offer. Can’t get it here (Oklahoma), but touring the plant in Golden Colorado allowed me all the free EG I could hold, hiccup...
