COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewing Extra Gold Lager requires uncommon patience. Patience in the slow aging of the roasted malts. Patience to take the thtree extra brewing steps needed to craft every batch. This added time and effort yeilds an exceptional, refined lager.

Can. Golden colour, average head. Bit sweet aroma of malt. Flavour of sweet malts and corn. Touch of hops in the finish. Not much taste really, quite neutral.

I have had this a few times and extra bad should be its name. Ok it is better than Bud or Miller...for sure. But it still isnít good.

Fucken can @ home, picked up at some podunk liquor store in Fort Collins. Been wanting to get this tick for a while and I finally pulled the trigger when I found a sixer for $4.19. Typical clear golden appearance with a huge fizzy white head. Aroma is actually pretty grainy, a touch of toast, light bubblegum, and lemon. Fairly full body. Cracker, honey, toasted grainy, somewhat sweet, light candy flavor. Even though it was really fizzy to begin with, the carbonation seems a bit dull. A little fuller than most macro pale lagers but the flavor isnít anything too enjoyable.

This one tastes way unbalanced to me, but it does have some flavor. Near the top tier of the commercial, shitty, watery American beers.

Can version. I paid exactly 50 cents to try this. I was all ready to make fun of the name but this beer really does have an nice gold color which surprised me. It smelled and tasted pretty crappy though, and that didnít surprise me at all.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2006 Used to call this Coors Extra Hangover. Price helps the flavor - good for a camping trip or a day at the racetrack - otherwise unremarkable. Slightly more flavor than regular Coors

Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is clear dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, husky, slightly unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Exceptionally grainy/husky, but still better than being flavorless I suppose.
