1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 SecretSquirrel (20) - Sheffield, - JUL 7, 2003I've had worse - and that's the most charitable thing I really can say about this gnat's pee.
If "It takes time to produce the flavor of the rich lagers of the past. The traditional, old world lager recipes allow no shortcuts." then it's a shame that Coors seem to have neglected the advice given in their advertising blurb

Okay American beer. As good as or better than most mass produced American beers such as Bud, Miller, etc. And at a much lower price!

Cabin fridge rate. Pours with just a slight haze to its gold body under a small fizzy white head that hung around a while, but didn’t look all that natural as it laid there. The nose is pretty generic macro lager, mostly corn sweetness with not a whole lot else. It’s not especially offensive though, and that’s something at least. The flavor is a bit heavier than the ’light’ beers I’ve had tonight, but that really just means more corn, so not sure that’s really a good quality. Finishes like it starts, sweet and a bit bland. Light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Would it kill these macro guys to throw in some hop to their lagers? Not something I could picture myself on a steady diet of, but for a night at the cabin, it’ll do.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ronaldtheriot (811) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - NOV 13, 2012
Extra Gold Lager has a thick, white, marshmallow-type head, a clear, deep gold, bubbly appearance, and lots of lacing rings left on the glass. The aroma is of sweet & sour roasted barley malt and other grains. Taste is of sweet, funky grain, a touch of hops, and it has a moderate roastiness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Extra Gold Lager finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, dry, and highly drinkable. Overall, this just might be the best American-style adjunct lager on the market! Oh, yeah! RJT

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 mattyb83 (733) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 25, 2012
Kent Prrbek is really being annoying right now, so I think it’s time to head to bold flavor town. Got this from trukpro, and man have I been looking forward to opening this! Can. Shimmering golden color with a small, fluffy, white head. Plenty of carbonation. Sweet aroma with corn, grains, and a slight grass character. A touch sweeter than I’d like, but still pretty solid. The taste is where this is at. Bold grains, corn, and a touch of sweetness. Definitely worth getting a chance to try this. Pretty hefty carbonation. This would be a great summer beer, or just something you could drink a thousand of in a night.

You forget how bad these are after a while. I had it with a Bud to compare and they were both bad but this a little less bad. The pale color, stale aroma, sweet corn taste. Stick with the good stuff.

Not horrible, but not good either. I liked the caramel malt sweetness of the beer. As far as pale lagers go, it’s average, but for being a mass produced beer it has it’s value.
2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 RONCOD (192) - Uledi, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 4, 2012
Golden color with a thin white head. Kind of sweet with a dry finish. OK for a cheap beer.
