COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Banquet Beer was born in the Rockies and has been a proud part of the American experience for generations, stubbornly refusing to compromise, since 1873.

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2003 This is probably my favorite American massed produced megabrew beer. Good to drink if there is nothing else around. The bottom rung on my beer ladder starts here.

Drinkable. That’s the only thing I can really say about this stuff.

I’m not a fan of the huge American brewers. This falls into the category of - ’no thanks, I’ll just have a glass of water’

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2005 Just a middle of the road cheap brew. No distinguishing characteristics.

Much better than the lighter half but Petes still a tool in my eyes.

Excellent Flavor and value. This beer is the best of the American Swill.

Much better than coors light, which is one of the worst beers on the planet.

The “Banquet Beer” still contains a measure of rice and refined corn starches, like most Macro-brews, but what sets it apart from other domestic brews is that it is made with naturally filtered Rocky Mountain water and special strains of Colorado high-mountain barley. This beer is light yellow in color and has a light head and light aroma. Some interesting things to note about this beer is that Coors takes about twice as much time to brew, age and process its beer as compared to its major competitors. This beer was a Gold medalist (American premium lager) at 1996 Great American Beer Festival®. Although this is not my favorite American beer, it is a good value in its price class and has a nice, balanced flavor.

Better than Bud, but it still lacks, like most domestic Americans do. Pick something else if you’re smart.
