junon (210), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Oct 19, 2009 Huh. I have always remembered Coors being more flavourful than Bud and held it above the other big names. Havent had it in years and I must say that I am pleasantly surprised. Bouquet is fairly tight but there is a hint of pineapple. Im getting the "beurre noisette" that I get from some of my favourite Pale Lagers. Mid palate seems to completely disappear although it opens up in the back with faint banana. This is pretty crazy. I must say I am liking this beer much more than I remember. I think this would go good with curry. pkbites (309), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Oct 18, 2009 I’m old enough to remember when you couldn’t get this east of the Mississippi. The reason you couldn’t get it east of the Mississippi is because the federal government and all the states east of the Mississippi were trying to protect people from this. Looks, smells, and tastes like the average macro (Bud, Miller, etc.) but has an extra bonus: a weird moldy taste that all Coors products have. Has something to do with the strain of yeast they use. Probably the worst of the macros!!! mcberko (123), British Columbia, Canada Oct 14, 2009 Generic, unimaginative pale lager. Why anyone would drink this is beyond me. blipp (1630), Newark, New Jersey, USA Oct 11, 2009 Bottle. Clear yellow with a white head. Light aroma with a touch of adjunct. The flavor has grainy malt, straw and adjuncts. Not awful. iabeerguy (158), Iowa, USA Oct 4, 2009 I enjoyed this beer more than most mass produced beers. Not bad but not great. Cheap and easy to drink, not much flavor. Golden yellow color with a medium head. That’s about it. Fratto (670), Arlington, Texas, USA Sep 13, 2009 It’s yellow, bland Coors. What more do I say about it? There’s a mountain that’s color tells me whether the beer is cold or not. MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA Sep 12, 2009 Bottle. Had both original and light at a party. Very light golden color with a white bubbly head. My mountains were blue. Next to no aroma, maybe some light graininess like the light but this one has some sweetness as well. Some hints of malt and a little light sweetness. More flavor than the light, but not really in a good way. I drank it very quickly though and did not spend too much time pondering the finer aspects of it. I think being unable to get this in MN in my youth brought about a mystique that increased it’s popularity in my area. It’s much the same as people speak about Yuengling here in AZ. I wish I could allow those memories to affect my rating, but this is just not my favorite among the macro swill. fsbw21086 (69), New Jersey, USA Sep 11, 2009 It taste like the rockies are smoothly flowing down my throat. Untill I realize I am drinking coors.,.. aka Coors "normal" this tastes like coors light bile with a little more crappy flavor. This is a pretty bad beer... but not as bad as budweiser. The only time I would choose this is if there was a decision between this and budweiser. It’s still beer at the end of the day and will get the job done but don’t expect anything more... please... eek
