The Banquet Beer was born in the Rockies and has been a proud part of the American experience for generations, stubbornly refusing to compromise, since 1873.

For some reason, this was sought after when I was growing up in New York, maybe because it was hard to get east of the Rockies. Not that it is as command as the rhinovirus, there is no need to look for it any more.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2009 Had a few last week. Bottle poured into shaker glass. I switched to this beer several years ago when Bud started giving me a headache. I like it better than Bud. Hey, there has to be some reason Smokey and the Bandit risked hide and hair to bring it to Atlanta. Good domestic beer, is it what it is.

12oz can and bottle. Just another weak watered down macro brew thats good for pounding. Good for beer pong.

Makes a surprisingly solid beer bread, which I never in my life would have guessed. Also be sure to try the "Coorgarita". You just cannot top that business!

It was not too bad for a big three lager however i was not that impressed. The gimmicks that coors pulls out is admirable

Bottle. Light golden color. Nearly devoid of aroma. Watery flavor, a bit of malt at the very end.

12oz can. Has a decent head, but is on the pale side. Light aroma of grass and cooked veggie. Something chemically as well. The flavor is light and sweet, with almost no bitterness. Its so hard to explain the character of the premium level BMC beers because they are so relatively flavorless. I used to think this was one of the worst, but its easily as quaffable as a bud, though thats not saying a whole lot.
