The Banquet Beer was born in the Rockies and has been a proud part of the American experience for generations, stubbornly refusing to compromise, since 1873.

Had this tonight at my Grandparents house. It was Easter and there was nothing else in the Fridge. They do live in Golden, Colorado, so it was near the source. It is very yellow with very little to no head retention. Aroma is of Lager yeast, no hops to smell of. Tasting these Macro lagers is a little strange to me because I first look for the malt/hop balance, but I realy taste neither. There is sweetness, but not the Malty goodness that I look for. I drank it pretty quick though, it’s not too bad.

I guess if the choice is between this and light beer, this is it. Slightly better than coors light.

Like many of you, this is what i also grew up on. It still has a bittering snap with no aftertaste. with that said, i do prefer a taste to my beer now that i’m not sitting on dads lap taking a sip. Yes, back then we were able to take a sip of dad’s beer. I wouldn’t dare try that now. If it wasn’t for the aroma and the snap to to palate this would have a lower score. Still a good thirst quincher when your out in the yard, but you have to take it for what it’s worth. A cheaper brand.

Pours golden clear with a small head. Aroma is corn and fruity. Taste is smooth and light with again corn and alcohol. What flavor there is vanishes quickly leaving just a funny metallic taste. Again as I’ve said before, drink it for a cold thirst quencher.

For budget beers this is one of my favorites. Other than price not much else going for coors.

I really like this stuff, which is surprising because Coors Light is freakin nasty.

This is the beer that was around a lot longer than it’s sister beer, Coors Light. This beer has a taste that is smooth for the drinker.

This is the beer I grew up on. Before I developed a taste for finer brews this was it for me and to this day it is my good old stand by. Smooth, easy drinking, doesn’t set hard on the belly, has a little kick to top it off. Well enough of that I need to talk about this beer in ratebeer terms... Mild lager aroma with a gold color and a smooth well balanced lager taste. Good during the summer with a balanced light taste that goes down easy but is always nice year round for an all around brew.
