The Banquet Beer was born in the Rockies and has been a proud part of the American experience for generations, stubbornly refusing to compromise, since 1873.

Many, many years ago I was stationed in Ft Hood Texas. It was a popular thing to do for guys coming through Colorado or Oklahoma to pick up a few cases or more if they could afford it. Once back in tha barracks they found a ready supply of buyers, myself included. We once had two guys who almost broke into fistacuffs over the last six pack some guy brought in. I thought it tasted great at the time, maybe because some of the local Texas beers were so bad, ie Lonestar, and Pearl. Now that Coors is widely distributed it has lost some of it mystic. It most cetianly beats any Budwieser product by miles, but I have found plenty of beers I prefer to Coors.

For some reason I thought this was worse than coors light. I had it at my first NHL game though.

Bottle. OK, everyone knows what it is. The main debate is wither or not it is better then Bud or Miller. I think it is better then both. But i would rather have something else.

You can notice that ice cold rocky mountain water...other than that, is this beer or spiked seltzer? Better than Bud or Miller though

Worse than Budweiser. This stuff tastes even waterier than Bud, which is hard to do. On the other hand, the water is good. But you can get the same thing from a bottle of Dasani.

Before drinking I expected better than Coors Light and I found myself rather disappointed to say the least. The smell was average at best, while the appearance was of your normal golden yellow pale lager and had a standard head. The flavor was by far the worst part about this beer, and tasted quite bad. It was uneventful on the palate and overall a very unsatisfying beer.

Bottle. Trust me, there are better american beers.... No aroma, no taste. At least it does not have that much strange and bad side effects...

Could be worse. A quenching, watery American common. One of the best of the mass-produced American lagers I’ve had.
