I love this beer. For a kickin’ back watching the game and such, it’s a pleasant drink. Looks and smells much like most of the beers in this group. Nothing great. But this isn’t a beer to be poured into a pint glass to be studied and enjoyed for all it’s complexity. This is straight-from-the-bottle redneck goodness, no nasty Bud aftertaste or Bud hangover. I can have a few and not feel like crap.Smelling this sort of beer means you have done something wrong, like spilled it. Of the convenience store fare, this is my favorite all ’round. Definitely better than Coors Light, less sour/skunky than Bud, less stinky/sharp than Miller and less stomach cramp-inducing than Heinekin. Unfortunately, it does still look like pee, just like all the rest of ’em. Not always having a lot of money to throw around, this is one of my staples. I do wish it was as widely carried as Coors Light or Bud. The new Coors "can liner" thing does serve a purpose. Makes it the only canned beer that doesn’t taste like, well, a can. Seeing as how I can’t even stand soda in a can, this is a good thing. Especially when fishing in areas where glass bottles are restricted. Heh. Definitely has its place. You kinda have to compare it to others in its league rather than try to hold it up against something it’s not intended to be. Holds its own and then some in it’s league. Holds a special place in my heart.

Can - Very pale, tiny white head. Typical mass produced macro brew. Not much else to say about this beer except it must be ’good enough’ for many people to keep it’s production. Pity.

for a domestic cheap beer, it is pretty good. however, with its moderate drinkability, i never expect anything out of this beer, except to not taste it and also to catch a buzz after 4 or 5. the end.

Very plain beer. Pale yellow with an unimpressive head. Very little taste except for maybe some corn syrup. Very little finish, which is probably a good thing.

Bottle, from non-dimpled mug, at 55F. Dated APR0107. Bubbly white soda-pop head, fades to nothing. Color is "American macro pale lager yellow" (I just invented that name, but it suits so many beers). Oh my goodness...this aroma -- or lack thereof -- makes me want to go back and re-rate the other pale lagers I’ve sampled; I LITERALLY cannot detect anything. Budweiser is a smorgasbord of aromatic sensory overload by comparison. If possible, would give this aroma a zero. Mouthfeel is light and thin, yet syrupy, with flat carbonation. I feel like a broken record; all American pale lagers are nearly identical. Tastes like...are you ready for it? Corn syrup. WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED?! Finishes the same as it tastes. This is truly bad beer. The fact that this is rated above Budweiser can only be attributed to backlash against Anheuser-Busch; Bud is clearly superior to this on all counts -- but that’s not saying much.
