The Banquet Beer was born in the Rockies and has been a proud part of the American experience for generations, stubbornly refusing to compromise, since 1873.

Had this one bottled. Can’t believe I had never had this one before. Medium yellow pour, bubbly with a thick eggshell white head. Nose of sweet malts, canned corn, and rice pudding. Equally detestable taste. Smooth, flavorless finish. Actually, in all fairness, this is better than Budweiser. Not that it matters.

Poured a light straw golden thin body with a fluffy white head. Metallic astringent and full of gnarly adjuncts. Pretty terrible.

I have to give the best damn Banquet beer in the world a perfect score. My dad has drank it his whole life and has passed on that same passion for The Original to me.

Not a really good beer, very little taste for a lager, but everyone has to start somewhere right? Its good enough to drink.

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2009 Bottle. Pours gold with white fizzy head that last through the beer. Aroma of very faint citrus, faint malt, and corn. Flavor of a little malt, corn, card board, residual sweetness . Mouth feel is light body with very high carbonation. Overall, an easy drinker with some malt flavor. Refreshing beer.....not bad for a sessioner....

OK beer from the can, thin but not bad, if you are buying a rack for poker or the boat.

i don’t know why i really bother rating these, but any beer i’ve tried deserves a fair rating i guess. this one (like all the other cheap beers) smells and tastes of sweet malt, corn, and bread. it’s bubbly and has a bit more body than its peers. gave me some bathroom issues, however, so be advised...
