COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Banquet Beer was born in the Rockies and has been a proud part of the American experience for generations, stubbornly refusing to compromise, since 1873.

Well, you get what you pay for sometimes. Just dont pay the same amount and get Coors Light. If you want to step up and have a better respected product from this company, go with the Blue Moon and let the "Banquet Beer" stay on the shelf, maybe it will get better with time.

Better than it’s light brother. Again, has to be ice cold to drink it or you definately won’t be smiling. Not enough taste to mention other than graininess.

12 ounce bottle. Classic macro brew product for less than $1.00 not worth a comment.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2008 There isn’t much to say, except if I was trashy I’d flip a coin to drink Coors or Bud for Christmas. MGD’s got more taste.

bottle/tap. The mountains turn blue when its cold. If thats not reason enough to love this beer I don’t know what is. I actually enjoy this beer. A step up from a light it is crisp and grainy and doesn’t leave a hangover. The water is from the rocky mountains. Delicious. PCD

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2008 I just tried this for the first time out of curiosity since my dad has it on hand and the other choice was Budweiser, with which I have long been familiar. It is worse than expected, being far inferior to Budweiser: bland, watery, fizzy, minerally, and pointless. It is pale gold, fizzy, with a thin white fizzy head that lingers momentarily, then dissipates to leave a thin fizzy ring around the glass. It smells very, very weakly of bready grain and yeast. The taste at first gives an up front sweet bread & grain flavour. However, it fades fast to just a fizzy, vague, mineral-water dry blandness that leaves nothing but mild tingly sweetness. After the first sip, the flavour is almost impossible to discern aside from minerally water. I shall avoid this again, as I did before.

Better that its light sister beer. Watery and not a lot of flavour. Standard US mass produced beer.
