COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Banquet Beer was born in the Rockies and has been a proud part of the American experience for generations, stubbornly refusing to compromise, since 1873.

Well, its certainly better than Coors Light although that doesn’t say much. Not very much to look at here, but it is smooth and refreshing, plus its pretty cheap, so have at it

Perhaps the most over rated beer on the planet. Maybe back when it was only available in the western U.S. it was special, but now, the west can have it.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2007 I feel almost amazed that I have never had this beer before. Sampled from a 16 oz can this beer poured a very pale yellow color with a huge soapy white head. The aroma is typical sour macro pale lager tang. The flavor has some light sour malts followed by a vague skunkyness and your typical sour macro pale lager finish. Less offensive than some out there but not good.

If you drink Coors go for orignial Draft not the Silver Bullet shit/ original at least has some authentic beer taste. SIllver Bullet= water plus alcohol and no taste. Coors is not the worst beer. I have lived here in Colorado my whole life, but this is a very commercial beer as well and certainlly not our best. I give Coors some credit with possibly inspiration to some great Brauries and truly great beers coming out of Colorado. Colorado has some great brews, Coors ain’t it. I have heard Coors described as piss to water. That seems accurate to me. I hate Coors Light because I have no idea why but Coors always seem flat and does seem like water/ Beer/ which is good if you just need a drink. I drink Coors anyday over Bud or others because Coors has some real beer taste and Bud to me taste like shit and has bleached head. LIke I said, Coors light no, Original OK. I do give Coors a little credit though as for some unknown resaon the water does actually stand out in the beer while it still has the kick of any beer, so the water does give it some refreshing qualities, and I find its characterstics a little different than some beers. The water from this beer is from the Mountains and snow melt and you can trust that. Make ya’ piss!

This and MGD are at the same level as far as I’m concerned. Anything but Bud. I enjoy that I don’t get a weird aftertaste from this macroswill. If there’s corn here, it’s hidden, but I don’t think there is. There’s a slightly sweet/honey taste in here, which makes it interesting. If they could boil down all the hops and barley that’s used to make 5 servings of this into one, it probably wouldn’t be that bad.

I don’t buy from the big 3 anymore, but this was free, so why not rate it. Can’t really say there is any BAD flavor here, but certainly not anything to enjoy. There is one flavor in the entire beer and it is of a bad version of honey. Very very weak color. ZUnapealing almost slimy mouthfeel. OK, so I’d rather drink this one than anything from A-B (Micheloebs excepted) or Miller, but that’s not saying much.

Better than the other macro choices (bud, miller, etc.). But it is still an American macro pale lager. There’s better stuff out there.

Tap (At brewery): Crisp refreshing beer when your hot and thirsty. Nothing deep or dark. Watery and goes down smootly.

Too light and watery but a pleasant taste and aroma just too little of it.
