Coors Original

When I was a kid, folk ranted about Coors... "What a great beer!" At the time, it could only be purchased west of the Mississippi and, being from Chicago, I was intrigued. AT&T sent me to Denver for a conference. First night, I found myself in a C&W bar, great band, and Coors on tap. I thought it was a joke. Beer-scented water. "D’ya have any other beers?" I drew a hostile crowd. Coors was fine for that night. (No fool here.) Never since.

Tastes a lot like Coors Light. No one ever has this Original and I guess if they taste the same, might as well drink Light. But you also might as well hang yourself.

The C in BMC. I remember when you could not get this stuff east of the Mississippi and it was considered micro. My how times have changed. Not much different than the others.

As a college student, i frequently fun into crappy beers for mass consumption purposes. For that, this is fine. But, if you are lookin to sit down and chill with a few good beers, pass this one up. None of the BMC stuff is good for anything but the cheap alcohol.

My favorite of the US mass marketed non-light beers. It actually has a little bit of body and it not a bad thing to drink. Better than Bud any day.

12 oz. can This beer ranks down there with Bud, Miller, Busch, Pabst, etc. Not much going on in flavor, aroma, appearance or palate. I remember back in the 70’s(?) when people would beg people going to Colorado to bring this beer back to them. I’m not sure why that was! This beer is mediocre at best. Bland would be a better description.

It’s pretty interesting that this beer is not good and, yet, so many morons drink it. It reminds me of Pabst Blue Ribbon. I don’t feel like typing more about a crappy beer. So I won’t.

I caught the rockies on this one and a couple of runs to boot. A watery mess.
