COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Banquet Beer was born in the Rockies and has been a proud part of the American experience for generations, stubbornly refusing to compromise, since 1873.

I caught the rockies on this one and a couple of runs to boot. A watery mess.

Just not my idea of a quality brew. I think people drink this one out of tradition. Either their father drank Coors, or they like being that one person in the group who doesnt get Bud or Miller. Maybe your old man just didn’t have the variety we have today. It’s time to branch out.

Can. If you gotta go cheap, this is the way to go. Too sweet and too many adjuncts. Tastes like carbonated corn syrup.

Good cheap beer, good to pound down, easy taste, its up there with coors quality, but yall know that coors quality is what it is, right?

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2008 Nice golden color. Smells alright. Tastes pretty cheap, very generic of course. It really seems to make me belch a lot. There are a lot of cheaper beers out there I would rather drink.

This really isn’t that bad for a macro. It is very drinkable and has a decent hop character (for a macro). It’s no Sierra Nevada, but it’ll work when there are no other options.

WTF is a banquet beer anyway? My dog won’t even drink this (granted, it was a cruel joke for me to pour some in her bowl but Tom Hanks did it to Hooch in that masterpiece of American Cinema "Turner and Hooch"...) my parenthetical comment should have summed up this beers primary demographic...I quit...

The aroma is of fine water mixed with a banana. The appearance is of golden spring water, with bubbles and a small bit of white foam atop. The flavour is...different - a smooth kind of malty I’m-not-sure-what-I’m-tasting kind of taste (this is my first Coors Original ever, mind you). It seems to have a bit more personality than others of its league - Budweiser, etc. Oh! It was corn when I wasn’t sure what it was, I’m pretty sure now. It’s interesting - not too bad, but I probably won’t get it again anytime soon.

This used to be fairly drinkable for an American lager. Now it is a watery waste of shelf space.

Golden color, light weak aroma, watery taste, light body, light very watery finish.
