COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Banquet Beer was born in the Rockies and has been a proud part of the American experience for generations, stubbornly refusing to compromise, since 1873.

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2010 Tasted from a 16 oz tall boy can purchased in Denver, Colorado. Light yellow, translucent appearance. Incredibly light malt aroma. Actually pretty crisp with an incredibly light body. This has a lot more body and flavor than most pale lagers.

The only way this beer is drinkable is with a lime or some lemon juice...it just tastes like horse piss to me...

Can. Banquet beer, eh? Whatever that means. What to say here. Pours a pale yellow with minimal head and carbonation. Flavor is light straw and a hint of malt. Slight sourness in the middle. Finish is unassuming and slightly sweet. Plain and bland, but not quite as offensive as some of the other macros. Not as awful as some would pretend.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear bright yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and corn-like. Flavor is malty and watery. Not too bad for a tailgate beer that you want to drink a lot of. It is a better choice than some crappy light beer.

Can and bottle: Just had to taste this as well as all the other BMC’s, but this, just like the rest, is a remarkable dull lager… Looks like they had no effort to make something special! Waterish and some hints of malts. Looks, smells and tastes really bad! Things come to mind are: water, air, no taste, bad water… Just bad!
