Taste the Rockies.. Pour: dilute yellow, diminishing white head Aroma: sweet corn and slight hop bitterness only. Swig: notable fuller body than the light, light sweet malts and adjuncts, no finish. Not excitable..drinkable. Apparently best consumed at banquets.

After living abroad and weekend-after-weekend sippin’ on fine beers from Belgium and Germany, I returned home to the States to have this beer. Sadly, it was a harsh reality check after drinking aforementioned beers. The bland, watered-down taste didn’t go down well and I only finished this beer so I wouldn’t waste $3 (it was on special). At times when I was struggling to drink the beer, I slammed my fist down on the table and made the "bitter-beer-face," as people from other tables looked on.

Poured from a 12 OZ "stubby" into a pint glass. Aroma- Has that AAL smell of grain and corn. This to me is not awful but just common. Appearance- Pours a golden yellow, a pun from the beer from "Golden, CO." Taste- Not bad, i haven’t had this beer in decades and it was very refreshing. Palate- A light bodied beer with moderate to heavy carbonation. It finishes clean and smooth. Overall- This is a macro, but a really good macro to me. I prefer this beer in bottles and i hear quite often the cans have a metallic aftertaste. Try a bottle and see what you think.

Booooooring.

Bottle. Yellow color with small white head. Sweet malt, corn in aroma. Sweet corny taste with sugar, tons of sugar. Bad.

Bottle by Cuso. Aroma lots of corn. Clear piss colour. Taste is very very watery, thin bodied, corn, kind of whiskeyish raw maltiness. Meh beer.

One of the better macros. Very smooth and quite quaffable. The flavor is bland, as are the competition.

710 cl can in Mahnattan, NY, around $2. Ultra light yellow color, short lived white head. Corny nose. Aroma: malts gone bad and unmalted stuff with forced fermentation alcohol and glassex, rice and adjuncts. Taste has a fake sugary thing and a woody tone. Reminds me immediately of Bud. Thin body, carbonated, dry. Melted fridge ice and carrot peel finish. No wonder this has to be icy cold. It doesn’t taste bad, but really no beer here. Coors seems like it has something very interesting on its list, but not this one.

It is what it is. It’s honestly not that bad. Don’t expect some craft beer gold with this one, but it’s refreshing and cheap and isn’t going to poison you. Tastes like an adjunct, smells like one and it is one. Comes by it honestly. Not the worst out there trust me.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2015 Made with Rocky Mountain water. That DOES sound refreshing. I get the image of snow melting and running down, seeping into the ground, and they havje a well drawing it out and making beer with it. Ahh, it is refreshing to think about. This beer sort of lives up to that. Highly carbonated, it pours with a pretty thick head. The smell is sweet, maybe too much so. Color is dark yellow, it’s kinda pretty. Looks like apple juice. Taste is sweet. Nothing offensive about it, no bitterness, slight sweetness. The sweetnesss of the aroma complements the flavor of the beer. The flavor isn’t complex at all, it is what it is. But it tastes pretty good. Pretty good mouthfeel. I guess several of these would be heavy after a while. Overall, it’s a good beer, Better than most macros. There’s no shame in having it on hand for company.
