The Banquet Beer was born in the Rockies and has been a proud part of the American experience for generations, stubbornly refusing to compromise, since 1873.

I have a soft spot for Coors Banquet Beer. It is a classic American lager. The flavor is very grainy and yet enjoyable. It has some body to it, adequate for the style and more than its competitors. I like this with a hearty burger and especially fresh off a tap out west.

355ml can. Pours a clear, pale yellow with an average, fizzy, short lived white head. Sweet aroma of fruit and corn. Sweet flavour of fruit and corn with a hint of grass and a slightly dry finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Not terrible, but not good either. What you expect from a macro.

Decanted from bottle. Brilliant clarity, golden hue, bubbly like soda pop. Very light sweet malt aroma, ghost of hops present. Grainy flavor, a bit mineral, lightly bitter. Screw the haters, I love it!

Dose und Flasche. Goldgelb, weisser Schaum. Süsslicher Getreideduft. Geschmack wässerig und flach. Abgang leicht herb. Nur eiskalt zu ertragen.

I wasn’t expecting much when I opened this beer. Its a drinkable beer, refreshing, but nothing to write home about. A little bland, and not as much carbonation as should be. Overall not the best beer, but if you are drinking to get drunk, this will do the job. By comparison Coors Light (brewed by Molson Canada) is a more flavourful beer, more refreshing and perfect amount of carbonation. If I had to choose, Coors light wins.

Pale straw color white head, carbon dioxide over the top. Grain flavor and tangy metal I finish.

Can shared by my friend John. Pours blonde with a modest white head and a mild bready aroma. There is a watery pale malt aroma with a slightly nitter finish.

20 oz, tumbler on tap: Pours pale gold with a 2 finger bone white cap - demure aroma of toasted grains and some light grassiness -flavour is malt accented subtle hop support, dry crisp fish - very quenching, no off tastes,,,a genuine gristed malt premium commercial pils.
