The Banquet Beer was born in the Rockies and has been a proud part of the American experience for generations, stubbornly refusing to compromise, since 1873.

Just gbrain and h20. I guess if it is real hot and the beer is real cold OK. But nothing really to rate as there is nothing to it

Pours a typical straw yellow, not impressive. Aroma is not much, a little malty and nothing else. Flavor, well ,what one expects from an industrial brew. Texture, well, fizzy but not firm. This is why I prefer craft brews.

Can. Coors heavy... well it is one tick better than Coors light but that is all it has going for it.

From a vintage-looking can. Pours an ultra clear golden without much bubbles being seen. It is covered by a small soapy ring that leaves few but at least some lacing. Nose is of sweet cereals and corn, a little fruity. Taste is a little sweet, offers some malty flavors along with a little corn (malty in its own way but you get it, it still tastes like your usual macro lager) but way less than your usual macro beer. Body is light and carbonation surprisingly intense. A bit too much, even. Overall this isn’t a huge step from Coors Light but still, a little better.

Not bad, I was suckered into thinking this coors banquet was a different beer. Oh well, not bad though. Clear light gold, light head, fairly fizzy at first. Light sweet corny malt aroma, slightly buttery. Mouthfull of fizzy foam, corny light sweet grain, some mineral, somewhat tart, some tart in finish. Slight banana fruit even a bit of pepper. Slight diety watery taste but good for a BMC beer. Cant remember the last time having this one or if I ever have even tried it. Seem to have a headache after drinking one though.

Not sure why this is rated so low. I was surprised as was expecting no taste at all. Corny malts and a clear crisp flavor. Was good very cold on a hot day. Much better than the Bud I had the day before.

Pale, straw color. Noticeable corn flavor. My favorite domestic "yellow, fizzy" adjunct beer. More flavor than one would expect. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml can. Clear pale yellow with a frothy white head. Flavors are cereals, banana, sugar and grass. Light body, fizzy carbonation, thin texture.

For some reason, this was sought after when I was growing up in New York, maybe because it was hard to get east of the Rockies. Not that it is as command as the rhinovirus, there is no need to look for it any more.

Oh well...
