COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Coors Brewing Company celebrates the holidays with Winterfest - the nation's longest-running seasonal brew. Brewed once a year, in celebration of the season, Winterfest is a handcrafted brew that has earned Coors much recognition. Prior to its broader availability, Winterfest was enjoyed almost exclusively by the Coors family, company employees, and their friends. In 1986, Coors expanded the tradition of Winterfest to include the entire state of Colorado. The response was so enthusiastic that, every year since, Coors has offered the special winter brew in limited quantities and packages. Winterfest is available on draught and in six-pack longneck bottles, from early November through January, depending on how long supplies last. Winterfest is the perfect beer to toast a new season or a new year. 190 calories per 12-ounce serving and 5.6% alcohol by volume.

Best beer by Coors I ever had...very. simple, straightforward, uncomplicated, easy-drinking winter amber...all about the malt. Caramel malt sweetness with toffee and nut flavors. Bit of hoppy bitterness and crisp finish. Very repeatable and I am surprised by the quality here!

LIght toasty grain aroma. Mild caramel notes, light CO2, mild hops. Overall, a weak aroma. Dark caramel brown clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium-light body with medium-high carbonation. Starts with dry maltiness. Bit of caramel and corny flavor. Light acidity, mild carbonic notes. Mild hops taste, kind of neutral fruitiness. Mild bitter finish with dull nutty after. Mediocre at best, and in case it wasn’t clear ... mild.

This actually didn’t look or smell so bad. The taste is kind of watery. So was the palate. The malt and spices were actually kind of good but way washed out. Less water please.

so it looks like coors is stepping up to the mico-plate.well lets see what they bring to the table.the winterfest poured an amber body with a nice looking white head.aroma was close to an amber ale, although it still had that nasty coors macro smell.the mouthfeel and taste was super watery, although some malt and spice did sneak its way through at the end.....

Bottle. Courtesy of CAPTRON. Bronze colored with a small tan head. Nose is malty and semi-sweet but very thin and has light caramel notes. Taste is caramel, malts, and light spice. This is basically a Killians with a bit of spice. Body is light and has moderate carbonation. Finishes with more caramel, light spices, and sweet malts. Not too horribly bad.

Poured redish with a little head and lacing. It had a strange taste that was a bit harsh; I think it was an attempt at spices. I think it was just an attempt at big brew doing something special.

Rich amber color, this is one of the best smelling beers I have ever encountered with a nutty aroma. A rich taste with hints of spice and nuts. I certainly hope it makes its way back to upstate NY again next year.

This amber pours a dark amber color form a 12oz bottle. Small sized beige head. Aroma is malt and spice and something a little chemical. A medium to light bodied amber. Malts are caramel and toffee. Slightly spicy hops. There are also some grainy like aspects to this beer as well. Still it mostly tastes like a cola crossed with a Coors Lite. Thin and watery, mostly tasteless, There is a touch of cinnamon in the taste as it warms. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
