3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Aurelius (3145) - Tallahassee, USA - NOV 17, 2006
Fairly light, fruity, buttery/greasy aroma. Festive label, clear woody brown, beady tan head. Toasted sunflower seeds, moderate hopping. A mostly-dry, somewhat lagerish malt silhouette, but there were some bock-ish, dark syrup notes in there. Body is slightly heavier than medium. Slight metallic twinge on the toasty cereal backend. I suspect that this would have done better in this audience if the tasting was done blind and without a Coors label. Overall, this wouldn’t be a bad choice if you were faced with a wall of macros at the grocery.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Birdiebeagle (959) - Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 25, 2011
Draft at Brewery Pours a clear amber with a white head that fades quickly. Produces decent lacing. The aroma is faint of spice and cookies. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is well balanced and malty. Has a light body. The texture is crisp and clean. An easy finish and aftertaste. Not great but not bad.

1.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 adnielsen (3755) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 15, 2011
Bottle @ home. The bottle states that this is a limited edition beer- I got 12222/99840. I surprised I was able to get a hold of such a legendary, limited edition brew. Dark ruby red/amber appearance with a creamy off white head. Sweet amber malty nose with some hoppiness. Amber malts, some slightly piney hops, but still has that really nasty macro flavor. Bitter, amber malty finish. That sick macro flavor is inescapable in this beer and just makes it nasty.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DeadMeat (4) - USA - FEB 14, 2011 does not count
Pours an absolutely beautiful burnt amber color. Tall beige head slowly diminishes to an attractive lacing. Aroma is very reminiscent of Coors Banquet, with just a hint of cookie dough. Palate is malty and mildly bitter, lingering briefly on the tongue, but finishing fairly clean. There is little complexity to Coors Winterfest, but it compares well, in my experience, to other amber ales, including those from "craft" brewers. As with all special beers from "Macro Brewers", some will overlook this once a year treat because of its origin. That would be a shame, as Winterfest really is something good from mainstream source. Prost!
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 danfosha (47) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JAN 14, 2011
Ok, so it’s Coors, and there is a lof of marketing behind it. But leave the haters behind, and it is a decent beer, a respectable effort even. It’s not very distinguished, but has a clean, clear taste. It’s not going to win any awards from me, but from the big corporate brewer, this is a good effort.
Pours a clear amber, beige head, minimal lacing. Aroma of malt and dough. Light bitters on the palate, medium weight. Inoffensive, no off flavors.

78609/99840. Pours a crisp red with off-white foam. Smells very simply of barley and slightly sweet. Tastes Like a sweet bittered Budweiser.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 tennessejed420 (865) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 28, 2010
bottle. Pours clear red / orange amber color. Sweet aroma with a weird macro aspect. Tastes pretty good but with a macro malt liquor 40 oz finish, kind of dirty. Medium bodied, sweet amber, with the sweetness taking on a bubblegum aspect.

it was malty perhaps a bit of plywood and kinda flavorful having been brewerd by a macro. a bit sweet and some body if you include the seltzer like carbonation as taken with the bit of syrup.
