3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ringo (963) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - DEC 14, 2002
Draft. It’s actually not that bad. You can definitely taste the hops in it, which is more than I can say for anything else from this brewery, and it does not look like pee. These two things alone make me give it a halfway decent rating.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 JK (3506) - Uptown, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 3, 2007
It was an old bottle with a date of January 2006. It shows no signs of age however. There was a sound of escaping gas when I removed the cap, and the beer is well carbonated. The beer is amber and there are lots of bubbles and a long lasting head. Aroma is pure malt. Flavor is more malt as well, with a light addition of cinnamon and nutmeg. I would call this a Vienna, and it is actually a good beer, even for being old.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2007 I went into this one without particularly high hopes but found myself reasonably pleased. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a chestnut color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma is malty and lightly spicy - mostly nutmeg. The flavor is tangy and a bit bitter with a light spicy element and a nutty finish. A bit too bitter and tangy but at least the spice was not overdone such as is the case with too many of these winter seasonals.

12oz Bottle. Winter 2005-2006 vintage. Pours deep red-amber with large tan head. Nice aroma. Slight hint of spices Very nice Winter Ale.

Pours a translucent orangish-brown with slightly off-white head that lasts. Descent lacing. Aroma of almonds and roasted malts. Flavor is well developed (for a Coors); malty with some burntness and almonds present; descent carbonation and a bitter finish. In my opinion probably the best beer Coors has ever produced.

Had this beer on 1/6/2006, it was from the 2005’-2006’ bottling. Aroma is malty and a bit toasted. Color is a crisp brown with good carbonation a thin head. Taste is mildly toasted and crisp. Starting with a light/medium body it goes down with a crisp clean feel. Finish comes in with a nice roasted malt flavor that is backed by an easy bitterness. Its nice to drink but not as rich as I like to see a Winter Brew.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 badbeer (434) - Iowa, USA - DEC 23, 2007
Nice red amber color witha frothy head leaving spotty lacing. Coffee, and some nuttiness noticed in the smell. Has a nice roasty taste to it with a little more coffee flavor in the finish. Light body, low carbonation. Pretty easily drinkable, and was a little surprised at this one, it turned out pretty good, especially since I got it free from a BMC buddy who hated this.

A 12oz bottle with a best buy date on it. The beer poured a nice amber with a light cream color head. The smell is all most sweet with hints of malt. The taste is a bit sour with a high carbonation feel in your mouth.
Nice flavor with little to no after taste.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Aurelius (3145) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - NOV 17, 2006
Fairly light, fruity, buttery/greasy aroma. Festive label, clear woody brown, beady tan head. Toasted sunflower seeds, moderate hopping. A mostly-dry, somewhat lagerish malt silhouette, but there were some bock-ish, dark syrup notes in there. Body is slightly heavier than medium. Slight metallic twinge on the toasty cereal backend. I suspect that this would have done better in this audience if the tasting was done blind and without a Coors label. Overall, this wouldn’t be a bad choice if you were faced with a wall of macros at the grocery.

Light copper color with a light fluffy white head. Mild sweet malt aroma. Slightly fruity and a touch of spice. Toss in a little more grain and call it a seasonal.
