Surprisingly heady. Very pale yellow. This is actually a bit funkier and less tasty than the light.

Pours clear yellow-orange with about two fingers of stark while rapidly dissipating head. Grass is prominent in the odor. Taste is a little light sweetness, starts off soft and then goes to a slight banana taste that generally is dominated by the typical lager sickly sweetness. Not a great lager, but not a bad lager either. Fairly middling for a sub-par style.

12 oz. can from a plastic hotel cup. Pours a clear, lager golden color. Extremely effervescent with a nice white head that lingers. Aroma is fairly strong as far as lager hops go. Taste is quite crisp with a mild sweetness and again a fairly decent hop bite for a pale lager. As far as pale lagers go, it is pretty tasty.

Orlando, Fl - Whole Foods - 12 oz can. Medium gold appearance, light white head. Pretty much a neutral aroma, brief traces of wet paper bag. Flavor is bland, but not offensive. Some grassy notes, a hit of honey sweetness. Mouthfeel - just a tad bit of tinniness. Much better than the Copper Bell Light I just had.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ronaldtheriot (447) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - DEC 30, 2011
Copper Bell has a very thick, soapy, stark-white head with a decent amount of thick lacing and a mostly clear yellow-golden appearance, with a presence of fine particulate matter. The aroma is of sweet, wet hay and grain, and the flavor is of barley, grain, a dash of hops, and there is some bite to it. Mouthfeel is very light and watery, and Copper Bell finishes fairly crisp, refreshing, and easy drinking. For someone on a tight budget, it’s okay, otherwise it’s only average. RJT.

At just under eight bucks a 12 pack at Whole Foods Market, I really wasn’t expecting too much. I could tell from the carton that it was brewed in Rochester, NY, so I assumed it was by Genesee, only under another name - aka brewed under license.
Beer poured a nice, sparkling clean yellow with a nice head that lasted pretty much to the bottom of the glass. Fairly good malt, hop aroma, with a slight honey background to it. Nice flavor, suprisingly clean without a sour note, sourishness being something ordinarily present in inexpensive beers.
If you’re expecting a quality beer to compete with the finest European lagers when you buy this, then you’ll probably be disappointed. But if you’re thinking it’ll be like a Pabst, Milwaukee’s Best, or a Bud, then you’ll probably be pleased. I found this beer worthy to try again.

Can thanks to bhensonb. Poured clear yellow with a white head. Aroma was fresh cut grass and bready. Flavor was light citrus and soft florals masked behind grain. Body was light and fizzy.

Can from the Folsom Whole Foods. Pours gold with a fizzy white head. Aroma is bready and very lightly grassy. Med minus body. Flavor is lightly bready, herby/grassy, and sort of gummy/paperish towards the end. Meh!

12-oz can at 47B with Andy and Streets. Pours straw with a whispy white head. Gets a point or two from me b/c there is a splotchy lacing on the glass. Aroma is kind of skunky but not bad. Does not taste as skunky as expected, and is actually kind of crisp, but there’s absolutely nothing to the palate. At least it’s not foul, though.

Pours clear copper with a large off-white head and a light bready aroma. There is a mild pale malt flavor with slight hop bitterness.
