COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Medium to full bodied, almost black ale. With the pronounced coffee, chocolate toasty flavors of darkly roasted malt. Gentle hopping lets the malt flavors show through.

tap at brewpub-this beer poured dark brown with a fizzy beige head. some roast, char and mocha aromas that were match one for one on the flavors. this beer is pretty heavy on the roast and not enough on the chocolate. pretty one dimensional, but not bad. body is fluffy and has a good mouthfeal. actually, this beer scored a little better than the red, but i liked the red better.

This beer is a clear brown-amber color and it is topped by a thin wispy light brown head. Again the aroma is quite muted here. Finally though I have found a little bit of flavor in one of these beers. There are some good notes of chocolate to this porter. This beer is light on the palate, thought this is the thickest beer that I have had from this brewery. There is a soft sweetness that accompanies the dominant chocolate note. There is some soft fruitiness here as well, I get notes of currants, raisin, caramel and some toasted malt notes. There is a bit of bitterness in the finish, which seems to be a combination of hops and dark malt.

Black with a decent head. Roasyy malt and coffee aroma and rich roasty flavor. A bit to thin but worth a full glass.

This was actually the first one that got my attention on the sampler plater. Had the sweet malty aroma of a porter. Dark body. Rich malty sweet flavor. Not to bad of beer. Worth a full glass sometime.

A nice, robust porter bursting at the seams with roasty flavors and aromas. Coffee, toffee, some grassy hops at the end. It warmed to become vinous.

This porter is light/medium bodied and brown colored. It's not transparent, but you can certainly see more than what you would in a typical porter. It did have a nice roasty-toasty nose and flavor, but the thin body did a take a bit away from it, IMHO.

The pour creates a full, white head. no lacing to speak of. Dark ruby (when held to light) color. Slightly sweet nose, no aromas that stand out. Flavor is full and roasty. Nice coffee finish. Thin palate. Worth getting again and trying the others.

Great head, good lace. Dark brown as expected, very smooth with deep coffee undertones.

Not a bad porter. Nice appearance, average aroma and flavor. This was a very true to style porter, but nothing stood out. Went great with the burger I ordered.

A very nice porter. There are plans to open a Copper Canyon near my house. I look forward to trying their other offerings.
