Cask conditioned at The Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Copper colour with white head. Good easily drinkable light bitter, well balanced between crisp malt with a fragrant hop. Grassy and just a little herbal. Enjoyable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, from Rhythm & Booze, Barton upon Humber. faintly hazy gold, thin but lasting white head and gentle condition. Gentle fruity malt and pleasant earthy floral hops in the nose, full bodied and slightly sweet in the mouth but with solid fruity citrus notes and a developing but restrained hop bitterness. Nicely balanced lingering finish with grainy sweetness and chalky bitterness playing their part with gusto.

Cask at Royal Shepherd, Skipton, North Yorkshire. Amber with a creamy head. Malt aroma and smooth, full malt taste. Agreeable bitter finish. Went down well on a sunny April afternoon beside the Leeds and Liverpool Canal here at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.

Cask, Ship Inn, Hoylake. Quite pleasantly surprised by this. Fairly standard malty aroma, but the flavour was light and pleasantly fruity. Really refreshing in the sunshine. Good hop bitterness and balanced maltiness; very drinkable. Top session fodder.

3.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location: The Red Lion, Jackson Bridge, Holmfirth
Notes: Handpulled by John, the pub landlord. Very creamy head due to the sparkler, settling to rich copper-amber. Very little aroma surprisingly. Quite out of balance, with hops dominant, but great. Full hop bitterness and flavour, and a slight malt sweetness evident in the finish. What a great "welcome to England" beer though.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.0%. Amber colour, moderate white head. Moderate but pleasant aroma of malts and toffee, hints of herbal hops. Zesty flavour of malts, nuts, fruity and herbal hops. Bitter aftertaste. Not really remarkable, but a decent enough bitter.

500 ml bottle. Clear, deep golden body with a nice off-white had that sadly disappears quite fast. Medium aroma of malt, caramel and varnished wood. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel and nuts. Medium bitterness that becomes a bit more obvious in the aftertaste. Decent bitter, but not to exiting.
