kwik-lime (160), London, England Feb 12, 2006 Pleasant, hoppy bitter. Not particularly strong but easy drinking with a floral, woody aroma.
imdownthepub (3995), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England May 31, 2008 Cask conditioned at The Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Copper colour with white head. Good easily drinkable light bitter, well balanced between crisp malt with a fragrant hop. Grassy and just a little herbal. Enjoyable. Davebravey (4), Liverpool, England does not count May 14, 2008 Nice drinkable beer enjoyed on one of my rare visits back home. Light hoppy flavour with good after taste. maeib (3917), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Mar 23, 2008 Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel, Northampton. A copper coloured beer with a whitish head and lacing. The aroma has grass and cleaning products. The taste is herbal and there are hints of washing up liquid. Pretty dodgy tastes and smells. greig (52), Hamilton, New Zealand Sep 11, 2007 Date: 22/11/2005
Location: The Red Lion, Jackson Bridge, Holmfirth
Notes: Handpulled by John, the pub landlord. Very creamy head due to the sparkler, settling to rich copper-amber. Very little aroma surprisingly. Quite out of balance, with hops dominant, but great. Full hop bitterness and flavour, and a slight malt sweetness evident in the finish. What a great "welcome to England" beer though. hughie (2150), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Apr 2, 2007 Cask at Royal Shepherd, Skipton, North Yorkshire. Amber with a creamy head. Malt aroma and smooth, full malt taste. Agreeable bitter finish. Went down well on a sunny April afternoon beside the Leeds and Liverpool Canal here at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.
