Poured a medium brown with a frothy off white head. Aroma of roasted sweet malt. Watery body, flavour is creamy sweet roast malt with a dry, bitter finish. A bit more body would improve this immensely.

Cask@Blue Stoops,Chesterfield. If ever there was a beer to convert doubters into drinking mild, then this is the one. It,s everything a mild should be from a sweet rich taste to a decent ABV. Once on it,you just find yourself going back for more and more. Very impressive indeed.

Bottle. Pours a nice dark brown, with a quite small, creamy head. Aroma is caramel malts and bread, as well as a nice citrusy hoppiness. Body is full, with a soft to medium carbonation. Flavour is sweet with roasted malts, chocolate, dark syrup, some notes of bread and a nice hoppy bitterness. Quite malty finish.
