Bottle. Clear appearance with a gentle presence of hops. A trace of fruitiness mixed with a lingering bitterness makes for a pleasant beer.

Cask handpump at the Shambles, Whitby. Clear dark copper colour with a creamy white head. Hoppy aroma. Flavours are hops, malts, citrus and moderate bitterness. Very drinkable, IPA-ish bitter.

Bottled, filtered, 500ml. Gold colour with white head. I am enjoying the Copper Dragon bottled beers they have been consistently good. This is a dry premium bitter with a strong hay like aroma, plenty of fresh grass in the flavour with an astringent hoppy finish. Nicely balanced with a full body. Enjoyable.

Cask (gravity) at the Burton summer CAMRA festival 2005. Anyone for the traditional chorus of "hey hey hey! It’s not an IPA!". Even so, it’s a tasty malty bitter.

Bottle, bought @ Thorups Ølkælder, Århus.
Pours hazy golden with a small, staying, creamy, white head. Sweet wet hoppy aroma, light maltiness - quite bready. Fine, creamy mouthfeel. Nice flavours, elegantly hoppy, dry, flowery feel, some bready malts and a little caramel. Actually quite a nice beer.

Cask at The Station, Whitby. Yes, finally an IPA, they are quite scarce on this trip to England. Please, let it be hoppy! Pours a clear golden-orange with an average size lasting creamy white head. Mild yet hoppy aroma -- off to a good start. Flavour: Oh yeah, finally, I missed you dear hops! It’s mild, a touch watery and slightly sweet with caramel malt -- but still, HOPS! Such a rarity in this country it seems. Medium bodied. Truth be told this is more like average APA but it’s still a breath of fresh air in this sea of BItters.

From bottle. Great fresh aroma, fruity with a hint of honey. Light copper in appearence with a thin lasting head. Lovely balanced IPA , smooth honey taste with a nice bitterness to compliment the whole glass. Very pleasant IPA, I enjoyed this beer alot.

Gravity cask at Swindon Beerex08. Lovely aromas of vanilla and cereal, Flavours of milk chocolate and cereal with some balancing bittering hops. A different beast to the bottled version by the sound of it.

Golden to light amber color; I’m a bit worried about the foam, whipped eggwhite. It has subtles aroma, of malt and sweet nuts, perfumy; even with light citrusy hops. It has a quite good flavor, of dry toffee, and a good bitterness level. Simple but pleasant.

Amber color; nice lace. Very light malty aroma. Some malt taste, very ordinary; I don’t think it’s an IPA, it’s even less hoppy than the others Copper Dragon.

Bottle. Golden beer with a strong bubbly head. The aroma is light, malty, dry and toffee, and the flavour is smooth, creamy, dry and caramel. Overall a nice smooth caramel dry beer.
