Bottle at Monks, Stockholm. Golden color, very nice creamy offwhite head. Malty toffee aroma with hoppy notes. Malty caramel flavor, some hops and citric notes. Mild finish. Not what I expect from an IPA, but still quite a pleasant beer.

Tea and barley aroma. Simple malt taste, freshly malted barley. Finish sweet and similar to the taste. Some bitterness to the finish too. Good simple bitter.

The Blue Bell in Ingleby Cross, North Yorks. Amber coloured, malty, fruity ale, not bad on the palate, but not a shining example of an IPA.

[500ml bottle, The Bottle, York] Pours a clear gold, thin white head. Thin aromas of grassy hop. Not a great deal of hop on the palate – mostly fruity malt akin to a traditional bitter. Trace of hop on the end but not really enough for the IPA pigeonhole [17062008]
