Cask; Regular. Also available in filtered (but not pasteurised) bottle.
A light refreshing blonde ale brewed using a new variety of Hop, creating a citrus fruit flavour. Originally brewed as a seasonal ale, Golden Pippin has become such a favourite it is now produced all year round.

Fine but not particually distinctive. Very main stream, lacks a hoppy or fruity taste but perfectly drinkable

Consistently good wether in bottles or from the barrel. Really well balanced and refreshing without being at all citrusy. A light hoppy beer of choice for me.

Aroma: light malts, hay, straw. Appearance: light pale clear gold, medium creamy white head. Taste: light bitter and sweet. Palate: light bitters intensify, light body, somewhat dry towards the average-long finish. Overall: OK Golden Ale, bit boring. Pint at The Elleray, Windermere.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2014 Golden beer, medium carbonation. A little oily on the palate. Slight caramel aroma, grassy, citrus and peppery hops, bit of a doughy finish. All right, nothing special.

Cask pint (several of them) at The Dun Cow, Durham. Really light gold. Subtle citrus nose: lemon and light herb. Light digestive biscuit in the taste, subtle lemon, a touch of earthy herbs. Very clean. Fairly thin. So sinkable. This was in great condition last night, really solid session blonde.
