curly (548), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Mar 5, 2009 Clear amber color. Decent off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma with some sour. Tastes quite plain with some cloying sweetness, but it could be worse. pkbites (309), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jan 9, 2009 I paid $2.99 for a six pack of GLASS bottles in West Allis, Wisconsin. Deep malt, caramel. and brisket aroma (yes, BRISKET!). Nice deep, golden color with a creamy, beige head that last longer than others have said it does. Leaves a gorgeous lacing on the glass. Bourbon whiskey/caramel flavor with too quick a finish. EXTRA (yes, I intended ALL large case letters) thick, caramel consistency feel on the tongue, palate, and throat. You can taste the texture of this brew in your olfactory, I shit you not!!! An OUTSTANDING beer at ANY price!!! But...did I mention I got it for $2.99 for six 12 ounce bottles?
Rock-’
N-Roll, my friends! Rock-’N-Roll!!! Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Oct 5, 2008 Very surprised by the lack of skunk, considering the clear bottle. Pours a clear amber with quickfading white head. Interesting flavor, i suppose that comes form the sour mashing? A little grainy in the finish. Cheap and interesting, worth a try, but not gonna be a regular in my fridge. jimhilt (1663), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Sep 4, 2008 Pours a three finger white head that fades quickly to a thin layer, leaving some lace. Clear amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Malty nose. Flavor is sweet bourbon and caramel, unusual lager, hops are in the background. Label has this brewed by the Naked Lion Brewing Co and their web site is nakedlion.com. $1.50 for a 12oz clear bottle from Manchester Wine and Liquors Manchester, CT BBorsutionns (44), Nashua, New Hampshire, USA Aug 18, 2008 Pours like copper. The sour mash is definitely noticeable. Good strength at a good price. If you can find it give it a try. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jul 28, 2008 Pours a clear copper colour with a medium sized white off white head. Aroma is a little nutty, with strong malt aroma as well. Flavor is semi-sweet with a full mouthfeel. Decent, but nothing incredible. hopdog (5527), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 25, 2008 Clear 12oz bottle. Poured a medium golden color with a small sized head. Aromas of wet grass, earthy, and vegatables. Tastes of caramel, lightly bready, and a trace of brown sugar. esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jul 11, 2008 Apple cider with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, toffee and toasted malt. Flavors include fruit, toffee, toasted malt and nuts. A shade astringent and the flavors are a bit weak but a lot better than expected considering the packaging it came in.
