hopdog (4552), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 25, 2008 Clear 12oz bottle. Poured a medium golden color with a small sized head. Aromas of wet grass, earthy, and vegatables. Tastes of caramel, lightly bready, and a trace of brown sugar. JPDIPSO (4221), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Apr 10, 2008 Dark amber to copper color with a diminished off white to beige head. Scents of caramel, light brown sugar, dark corn syrup and hint of sweet herbal hops. Sweet malt and grain start, Perhaps a touch of sour mash, but a bit of a reach. Actually I think I’d like to distill this (if legal). because it is just another amber as is. Some light hints of hops in the finish and linger. Actually coming from LaX, not bad. DocLock (4085), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 29, 2007 Updated: Jul 29, 2008Dark copper pour with minimal off-white head. Aroma is hops, brown sugar, caramel malt, with a caramel malty flavor, and some mid-palate brown sugary, toffee, and hop notes. Not terrible, but not a beer I’d probably have again. phishpond417 (1409), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jul 28, 2008 Pours a clear copper colour with a medium sized white off white head. Aroma is a little nutty, with strong malt aroma as well. Flavor is semi-sweet with a full mouthfeel. Decent, but nothing incredible. MrBunn (842), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 28, 2007 Updated: Feb 17, 2008Clear bottle. This seems a bit strange, especially if you check out the website about the beer aging well and being ultra premium and so on... Pour is a lovely copper color with about two fingers of foam that dies down to a thin layer on the surface. Aromas are sweet malts (apple juice concentrate) with a touch of a sour note. Flavor is really interesting, and I’m not sure quite how I feel about it. It’s like a pretty boring lager with some jukes and turns from the sour mash, which makes it pretty darn interesting. Then the next sip seems pretty plain and I’m not picking up the sourness... then it’s back. Wierd. I don’t know that I want a case of the stuff or anything, but it is fairly unique and doesn’t completely suck.
