Taster at the brewery. Pours a thin white head, over a a lightly hazy amber (SRM 7) body....nose is pine, grapefruit, toffee/caramel, hints of grass....taste is toffee/caramel, leading slowly towards bitter pine and grapefruit, sweetness underlying entirely...mouth feel medium, carbonation medium. This is a nicely balanced, very typical American (not quite Left Coast) IPA. BJCP 7/3/13/4/6
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 arminjewell (3107) - Parker, Colorado, USA - APR 1, 2012
Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange with nice white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, biscuit sweet notes before the pine and grass come in, fairly nice citrus character as well, slight spice notes. Seems like a fairly complex hop profile. Taste is a nice mix of grass and pine, hints of grapefruit, touch of biscuit and caramel as well in there, finishing fairly bitter with just a touch too much sweetness. Aroma led on a bit, but still a nice brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 adnielsen (3755) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JAN 26, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2012 Tap @ brewery. Cloudy, ruby orange appearance with a cream colored head. Somewhat resiny, orange citrusy, mild to moderate hoppy aroma. Resiny, grapefruity, tangy citrusy, sweet, a touch toasty malty flavor. Clean flavor. On a side note, I asked off this was unfiltered and was told that all their beers besides the Mexican Stout are unfiltered.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 onceblind (1622) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 22, 2012
Cloudy burnt orange with a thin light khaki head. Beautiful hop aroma of grapefruit, flowers, fresh cut grass and some oils of fresh picked hops, all in front of a sweet burnt caramel aroma. The flavor is equally nice, full of hoppy complexity and sweet maltiness--quite balanced while still being uniquely "American" in style. Big tones on the palate of grapefruit, grass, flowers, and some lemon rind, which all adds up to a firm bitterness. But it’s all on the backbone of a big toffee malt profile that hangs out in the background but is perhaps the most essential member of the whole ensemble. It ends a little dry and resiny, but the first 80% of the ride is exquisite.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 missdev (15) - USA - NOV 6, 2011
Grapefruit and strawberry nose. Very fruity flavor. Think a summer evening and homemade strawberry shortcake. Nice complexity between the hops. A good harmony.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 notalush (3742) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 5, 2011
Tap at CK - turbid dark copper - aroma is of earthy, woody American hops, possibly cascade and simcoe, with a clean, moderately sweet malt profile - medium bodied, full carbonation - flavor is of medium dry, lightly Biscuity malts - hops in the flavor seem more like noble hops - peppery, grassy and lightly fruity (hallertauer?) - bitterness is pretty intense, perhaps a bit too much so in the finish, but still very tasty, with a fairly complex flavor profile for the style.
