3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3388) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 28, 2009
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy golden-amber color with a medium sized white head that faded fairly quickly. The aroma was sweet, tangy, lightly tart and had notes of banana, bubblegum and citrus. The body is full. The flavor was tangy and yeasty with strong banana, clove and citrus. There was a noted alcohol presence. The finish was long, tangy, yeasty bubblegum. Tasty.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 kramer (3455) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 19, 2008
Sample from bottle at the brewery, (unfiltered). Pours a surprisingly dark colored body, almost bordering on orange. Moderate fizzy white head. The nose is very estery with lots of yeast influence and really heavy wheat. This was much more flavorful and by far exceeded my expectations for the average "Wheat beer" from your average new brewery. Lots of bready wheat and some yeast with a light nudge of alcohol on the finish. Quite a hefty body with moderate fizzy carbonation. Overall, this certainly was a good bit more than your average American Wheat. Will do a full re-rate when I get a full bottle.

Sampled at the ’09 RBPTE, courtesy of FROTHINGSLOSH. Average malt sweet aroma with wheat, citrus, bubblegum, and coriander. Mild yeast notes. Hazy light amber body with spare frothy white diminishing head. Light watery body with medium carbonation. Nice wheat ale/weizen flavor, with fairly heavy sweet taste and light bitter/acidic finish. Nice wheat.

This one poured a cloudy yellow color with a white head. Aroma was lots and lots of yeast, and some banana in there as well. Flavor was much like the aroma, just a mouthful of yeast, some banana and spices, clove and ginger in the finish.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Sonicdescent (384) - Donora, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 11, 2009
Had this one at the RB Pittsburgh Tasting. Scent gives me hints of banana and a clovey character. Pour wasn’t spectacular, but I adjusted for this in the curve due to the small pour. Taste is banana, some spice, little clove. Better than the scent led me to believe it would be, and I am not a huge fan of the stle. Mouth is great with a medium thickness and a high carbonation.

Bottle at BCTC 2009: Hazy golden with an off white head. Musty German yeast aroma with a clove note. Creamy mouth feel- some earthy wheat flavors and dry yeast phenolics giving off some clove character. Feels German. Decent.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ditmier (1509) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAY 5, 2009
2009 Bottle - Thanks kramer! - Pours a hazy lt orange with a small white head...aroma is tangerine and banana, spicy, with some cereal grains peeking thru...flavour is sweet and fruity, tropical fruits, caramel malt, yeasty...odd gamey wheat flavour at the end, with not as much grain grit in the middle as I like, but a solid outing for a new brewery!
