COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally called "Urquell" in German or "Prazdroj" in Czech, meaning "the original source," or the first pilsner claimed to have been ever produced. Pale in color and clear in the glass, the beer is characterized by a clean hoppy aroma, with a light finish on the end.

Tap at CK - golden pour with a soapy, lasting head - a bit of a haze to it, but I won’t hold that against it - nose of floral and grassy hops, light mineral, a slight honeyed malty quality - full in the mouth - sturdy but soft carbonation - the front end is dry, crisp and fairly bitter - a lot of grassy hop character - the middle brings a mild sweetness to balance, as the tail end and finish bring another strong punch of peppery, floral hoppiness - crisp, lingering finish - fairly bitter for a pils, and not as elegant as it could be, but nicely balanced and very tasty none-the-less - nice to have such a tasty lager made so close to home.

On tap at Copper Kettle poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of straw, citrus and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, earthiness and a hint of citrus with a crisp dry finish.

Tap @ brewery. Hazy, a touch orangish yellow appearance with a white head. Bready pale malty, very light hoppy, herbal aroma. Easy drinking flavor but a little boring- sweet pale malty, lightly fruity, mild grassy/floral hoppy flavor. The hops don’t seem very assertive for a Bohemian Pilsner.

Clear light gold with a thin frothy head that leaves much lace. Grainy aroma of cereal and wheat, with a very light grassy hop note. Flavor is nice and clean, though not too light. There’s this earthy pale grain tone with a background of yeasty biscuit, with a gentle noble hop presence throughout. Clean, flavorful and balanced. As good as Mama’s from Oskar Blues!
