On tap at brewery 03/02/2013...Very unique flavor combinations...dark stout with good cinnamon and slight chocolate aroma and some spice...average head...starts with chocolate and cinnamon tastes and finishes with a sweet chocolate taste with spicy burn from peppers in back of throat. A smooth sweet burn!

A wonderfully spicy beer. The spice upfront is strong but I pit Tabasco on everything so it didn’t bother me. The best part is the smooth chocolate finish. A magnificent spicy stout that lives up to the gold medal.

Pours a dark, mostly clear, with a half finger of tan head. Settles quicklybwith minimal lacing. Aroma is spice, heat, cocoa. Flavor is sweet malty up front, fading into chocolate tones and chili heat. Soft carbonation, medium body, smooth texture. Nice tones of chili and chocolate. A solid stout.

On tap at the brewery, strong cinnamon aroma, good flavor until the pepper kicks in.

On Tap at Denver Winter Brew Fest ’13. Pour is deep brown in appearance with slight red hues and good lacing. Huge cinnamon and potpourri, chocolate, nutmeg, allspice, and peppers in the aroma; definitely like smelling a Mexican chocolate bar. Taste is literally like a glass full of spice and heat: cinnamon, green peppers, chilis, allspice, and cardamom, with light notes of wood and cocoa. Seriously dominated by spice though and 4 oz is more than enough for me. A little let-down by this one as I thought the aroma was awesome.

Tap at Copper Kettle on 1/10/13. Aroma of chocoate and hot pepper. Taste is spicy and warms the mouth. Mouth feel is substantive. After 3 oz. the taste buds are destroyed and I lost interested in the rest of the pint.

GABF 2012, October 12, Friday. Great spice aroma and flavor, with chai and hot pepper. It is very unusual, but has a nice palate, smooth and thick, and the spices work very well.

On tap at the Copper Kettle, this was quite enjoyable. Dark black as a stout should be with a decent head. Smell is heavy cinnamon but not at all cloying. The flavor is cinnamon and has a nice bit of heat on the finish. Overall I liked this more than I thought I would and while I could only drink one at a time I would definitely order this again. Good stuff. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 06-02-2011 01:46:50

Appearance: Bllack with a small tan head. Aroma of bakers chocolate. Taste of chocolate and peppers. This was hot in the back of the throat. A sipper because of the heat
