ON tap at the brewery March 2013,...yellow gold, small head. This is the 2012 homebrewers competition winners brew. Aroma of funky herbs, field aromas. Flavors of a herbal saison, corriander, orange peel, lemon zest, grains of paradise...light, somewhat watery yet refreshing. Flavorful and worthy of a pint!

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear orange-gold with thin white head, aroma brought notes of big citrus, orange, grapefruit, lots of phenolic peppers, hints of spice, lots of clove, slight biscuit and bread, some wheat, pretty spice filled. Taste is a mix of spice, biscuit, bread, hints of earth, grain, going into lots of sweet orange peel, lemon, grapefruit, finishing sweet, spicy.

I really enjoy this one. A nice spice and citrus flavor with a good peppery finish. I could drink this all day.

Tap. Pours clear pale gold with a medium, creamy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is fruity esters, coriander notes, orange with spicy cereal malt. Flavor is malt forward with heavy spices, medium orange notes with a dry finish. Light body with medium carbonation.

Tap @ Cooper Kettle. Pours a clear golden appearance with a white head. A bit of out of control aroma packed with phenols, banana, pepper, and citrus. The flavor, while clean, is similarly over the top with a massive amount of spices, citrus and banana. A little hard for me to drink. The yeast and a massive amount of spices just created a too busy environment.

Slightly hazy golden with a lasting thin white head. Nice clean aroma of peppery and orange zesty hops with a little Belgian yeast dust and grains of paradise. Nice fruity and hoppy flavor with orange citrus, a touch of Canteloupe, a wee touch of dry grains of paradise and a light fruity ester. Nice kiss of grassy and citrusy hops as well.

On tap at the brewery, OK beer. Tastes more like a Belgian wit than a pale ale. Winner of a homebrew comp

Tap at Copper Kettle on 1/10/13. (Tasted prior to being put on tap.) Aroma of coriander, spice, some grain, citrus, and orange. Taste is slightly sweet and finishes with spice, leaving pepper on the after taste.

Tap at CK - clear gold - lively pour - aroma is simple and clean - some light pepper, mild grains, a bit of sweetness - the flavor is decidedly more complex - medium dry and quite peppery up front - crisp, crackery malt later, as well as some floral and herbal qualities (lavender) - slight mineral late - lingering peppery spice in the finish - quite good despite the relatively simple aroma.
