Appearance: Black color with a big tan bubbly head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Mild roasted malt and chocolate.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and a low bitterness. Average carbonation. Dry texture.
Taste: Dominating roasted malt and coffee, but also some fruity notes.
Overall impression: Decent nice Schwarzbier.

Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew. Pours a clear deep brown body with a small off-white head. Aroma is faint coffee and chocolate tones; not much else. Taste is mild roasty nut tones, hints of chocolate. Mild and inoffensive, but not really bad. Thin body, but not more so than the style usually indicates. Pretty half-decent schwartz (which is, to me, a pretty half-decent genre in itself).

Dobre i smaczne piwo trochę gożkawe, ale słodu palonego nie czuć. Piana żółta, nie wysoka i średnio trwała. Lekko gryzie na końcu języka, ale przyjemnie. Fajna ciekawostka z wyspy Madera, nalezącej do Portugalii.

0.33l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. Love these pull-of caps! This is a deep clear brown one with a small lightly bubbly and sidesticking brown-ish top. Smells both yeasty and fruity. Some earthy nuts, hints of chocolate, chocolate paper and nuts. Not horrible, not directly pleasant. It’s right below average on the carbonation and the mouthfeel is light oily. It’s quite dry. Really low on the sweetness. Traces of potatoes, something slightly burned, hints of chocolate paper. Tastes a bit "old" perhaps even though this is not a especially old bottle. 09.01.2013

Bottled, 275ml from Beers of Europe, Norfolk. Dark brown to ruby with short lived head. Sweet, malty, vanilla flavours from the start though not really cloying, some wet cardboard from the carbonisation. A touch of roastiness comes through later on. Better than expected.

33cl bottle from a supermarked on Tenerife. Pours black with a beige head. Mild roasty aroma with malt and caramel and hints of chocolate, dark fruits and hops. Sweet and lightly roasty. Mild flavours. Hints of bitterness in the finish. Nice beer for a hot day on the beach in January. (2013-01-03)

Clear dark brown to black color, dark brown head. Sweet, green banana, chocolate, cocoa scent. Coffee, cocoa, chocolate taste. A bit thin mouthfeel, low bitterness.
