2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From can into snifter pours a clear, deep ruby...not amber like others have noted. Once thick and frothy head quickly disappeared. Taste is more roasted and malty than hoppy...again, not like others saying it's quite hoppy. Not a bad beer, would prefer more hop and lighter palette though. This, to me, is more of a red than an ESB.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Copper pour with hardly any head, but the lacing rings stick around for a bit. Big sweet malty aroma, even some butterscotch, with nutty notes. A little too sweet for my preferences, though. Tastes far better: sweet malt with some very nice resinous pale ale bitterness in the finish. Great tasting! However, this is another Core beer with an overly watery palate; their Okto had the same problem. If this smelled better and weren’t so watery, it would be an outstanding ESB. The resin finish is just delightful; too bad about some of the other elements.

Keg @ Core. Deep amber with a creamy white head. Candied apple, light nuttiness. Some raisin. Taste is slightly spicy. Earthy hops, some cinnamon accents. Rich toffee, sweet malts. Decent balance. Medium body, active carbonation. Solid.

Pours a clear copper color with a nice beige head. Nice representation of the ESB style, clean, crisp bite with a nice malt backbone.

Nicely hopped for an ESB with some herbal earthiness and good amounts of bitterness.

(tap) deep copper with small tan head. Caramel and earthy hops aroma. Very hoppy for an ESB but nice, with plenty of malt and body for balance.

Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and light herbal notes. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, toffee and light grassiness with a smooth lingering carmel finish.
