3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dark dark red with a thick off white head. Heavy molasses aroma with spices sweet dark fruits. Maybe a little sweetness on the tongue but not much going on, may an old bottle? Thin. This beer looks and smells good but is lacking in substance.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not very strong aroma of malt and roast with a little toffe and caramel. Very dark brown, clear, with a big, stable head. The taste is mostly sweet and metallic, just a bit of bitterness. Medium body, feels a little oily, softly carbonated, short, bitter-tart finish. Quite average.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 500 ml
Aroma: dark malts, caramel, chocolate. Slight fruity sweetness behind. Roast backing.7+
Apperance: poured with medium plus beige mocha cap. Nicely contrasted with dark brown base.
Taste/Palate etc. medium bodied with thinner walls. Nice roast up front, chocolate behind. Dry ending. Pumpkin seed flavoring is understated. This is nice lagered? stout. Late sweetness that should not be around. Is this pale lager based with added chocolate malt? Still considering reviews this is underrated for some reason. Maybe one thinks that if its cheap and from Poland must be bad...Either way nice not excellent desert brew.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours auburn/brown with minimal head. Aroma of chocolate and maple syrup and roasted nuts. Fairly tasty, almost like a port and a stout mix. Think desert beer.

1.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Advent Calendar #15. Still going through these... most are lagers, which I prefer in warmer weather. Anyway, for this one I feel like I had a completely different beer than anyone else because while the wood and earth nose were interesting, the taste was sour and the finish was just rancid, it was like they’d put a burnt piece of wood in there during the fermentation process. It wasn’t a bad bottle, just didn’t mesh so well with the inside of my mouth. But yes up there amongst the worst finishes I’ve experienced.
