Bottle. Pours lovely golden, clear, average head. Aroma: orange peel, perfume, malt, caramel, chocolate. Taste: roasted malts, coffee, butterscotch, cooked vegetables, caramel, pumpkin seed finish. Quite an interesting brew.

kamwitsta (109) - POLAND - MAY 12, 2014
Not very strong aroma of malt and roast with a little toffe and caramel. Very dark brown, clear, with a big, stable head. The taste is mostly sweet and metallic, just a bit of bitterness. Medium body, feels a little oily, softly carbonated, short, bitter-tart finish. Quite average.

Claims to be a "stout" its an amber ale, slight nuttiness, mostly metallic and sweet malt.

Bottle 500 ml
Aroma: dark malts, caramel, chocolate. Slight fruity sweetness behind. Roast backing.7+
Apperance: poured with medium plus beige mocha cap. Nicely contrasted with dark brown base.
Taste/Palate etc. medium bodied with thinner walls. Nice roast up front, chocolate behind. Dry ending. Pumpkin seed flavoring is understated. This is nice lagered? stout. Late sweetness that should not be around. Is this pale lager based with added chocolate malt? Still considering reviews this is underrated for some reason. Maybe one thinks that if its cheap and from Poland must be bad...Either way nice not excellent desert brew.

Aroma is toffee fruit and odd sweetness. The flavor is fruit/dark fruit, mild/medium sweetness, spices, mild nuttiness and a malty/mildly tart finish.

Pours auburn/brown with minimal head. Aroma of chocolate and maple syrup and roasted nuts. Fairly tasty, almost like a port and a stout mix. Think desert beer.

Advent Calendar #15. Still going through these... most are lagers, which I prefer in warmer weather. Anyway, for this one I feel like I had a completely different beer than anyone else because while the wood and earth nose were interesting, the taste was sour and the finish was just rancid, it was like they’d put a burnt piece of wood in there during the fermentation process. It wasn’t a bad bottle, just didn’t mesh so well with the inside of my mouth. But yes up there amongst the worst finishes I’ve experienced.

bottle from bierpost. Amber-chestnut colour, mid-sized off-white head. Malty nose with caramel. Grainy malt flavours with caramel, chocolate and pumpkin seed. Not too sweet, not too dry, very well balanced.

DuffMan (6462) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 17, 2012
Bottle, Beer Advent Calendar. Beautiful deep brick red colour with a lasting beige head; this beer looks fantastic.... But it all falls apart from here. Very sweet burnt caramel aroma with strong earthy and nutty traits. Grainy caramel flavour, overly sweet, with a very drying peanut-skin bitterness in the finish. Thin mouthfeel. Not good.
