Amber-brown body and a big off-white head. Aroma of spices, barley, and alcohol. Taste is spices and barley, with a watery palate. Nothing to see here, move along, but it’s not awful or anything.

Bottled. A brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has otes of vinegar, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet and sour with notes of nuts and caramel as well as light notes of vinegar, leading to a somewhat tart finish. "Thanks" fiulijn for sharing.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jaghana (2089) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - DEC 23, 2009
Bottle 33cl. A dark amber beer with a medium carbonation but no head at all. Smell is nice and roasted, the taste is a bit malty, roasted kind of cereal aroma. Quite dry, some sourness at the finsih but the main thing is that the feeling is wattery. This would be better with more alcool / body.

1.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 scotty (904) - SCOTLAND - DEC 26, 2006
I wasn’t looking forward to trying this after reading some of the previous rates, especially about the sour/infected character found by many others. This poured a dark tawny colour with absolutely NO head...nothing! Initially, a good roast malt/coffee aroma hits you but that fades and a faint sourness appears and lurks in the background. It is thin and lacks anything in the way of body. There is definitely something not right with this, an unpleasant sour flavour dominates and spoils the whole experience. Part of a 6 bottle gift pack brought back from France by my bro...good god,I’ve got 5 more bottles to sample!
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Geiserich (2337) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - SEP 22, 2005
Bottled in l’Aviso Foamy, brwon head. Black color. VEry strange brew. Aroma has much of the typical french goat camenbert. Flavor is sourly with again notes of goat chees. Sourly, astringent finish. Some roasted malt flavor. Very interesting, unusual beer.
