2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
I didn’t enjoy this at all. Very thin color (light caramel) and thin body, though more carbonation than I would expect out of an English Pale Ale. I get the apple note, along with some grassiness, but there is also a strong metallic streak to the finish. Not very appealing. Bottle purchased at Acharavi, Corfu.

Good beer from greek island Corfu. Nice colour and palate with a taste of frapè and a bit of caramel or cumcouat. Really good to taste it.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
A fun experience this. Tiny Corfu’s own Micro Brew. It is a take on English Ale of sorts, it is very fresh, but the overall experience is that of a somewhat thin bodied, quite watery fare. But, lots of praise for the effort, beautiful bottle and the fact that you can have something genuine from Corfu instead of macro beer from either the mainland or elsewhere on your holiday.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle @Beer Time, Athens
Clear copper-amber color, small off-white head. Light nutty and caramelly aroma. Light-bodied. Light nutty flavors, caramel, low bitterness. Kind of watered down ESB, but pleasant to drink as such with food.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
(.33 bottle at Beer Time, Athens)
Gold, I guess (the pub is dark). Not much head on this.
Restrained hop aroma, slightly sharp fruits, and a bit of peach.
In the mouth, there seem to be some English hops, and there’s a bit of
grassiness that turns into a fairly minerally and almost watery finish.
Almost aggressively carbonated.
Doesn’t taste 6.5%.
The finish builds in hoppiness, which is good, but the minerals end up
converging in a swimming pool.
This would have been sub-3.0 even if they’d not tried to evoke ’real
ale’ feelings in the user. This ends up feeling like a hoppy pale
Unusually, Phil did not share this.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours a red body, with a small white head that diminishes quickly, leaving almost no lace. Very faint aroma of malts, with a light sweet taste, with notes of caramel. Excessive carbonation level, thin bodied, watery texture. Inoffensive, but lacks character.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
(50 cl bottle from Gaia in Parga; BBD: November 3rd 2013; Bottled three months before) Pours a clear, dark amber with lively carbonation and little head that disappears immediately. Aroma has a whiff of what I imagine to be noble hops along with less savoury notes of wet straw, caramel and washcloth. Watery texture, thin body and a strangely carbonated and ascerbic finish. Flavour is a disharmonic marriage of caramel with tart and metallic notes.
