On the brewer’s homepage it says that the beer is made according to an old family recipe. Which maybe explains the rather special and nowadays as belgian recognized taste. The beer tastes like a typical belgian blonde, like leffe for example, but it has some more fine aromas like citrus fruits. It may not be the best beer in the world, but it is by far the best beer in the region.

Corked, old bottle
Hazy deep blond color with generous head. It’s a bit oxidized, with dull malt character, light spiciness, low bitterness. The final is a bit sweeter. It seems a very simple Belgian beer.

Bottle 375ml. corked.

[ Trade by boris ]. Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, pale malt, light to moderate hoppy, grass, yeast. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, grainy, grass, dusty, sweet malt. IMO a bit messy and unbalanced. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121116]

Bottle, 7.7% @ FOneFan. Slightly hazy dark yellow with small white head. Aroma is malt, yeast, fruit and grass. Flavour is malt, fruit, hop, grass, yeast, notes of alcohol and a little bitter.

Bottle @ "Det er meget mørkt i Ulfborg", November 2012. Pours cloudy golden with a white head. Nose is alcohol and spices. Some grain and fruit. Full bodied. Warmth.

# 3045 ersma: scheint eine sehr unbekannte brauerei zu sein. es wird nur dieses bier hergestellt, auf der furchtbaren heimseite werden tradition und innovation hervorgehoben. goldfarben, leicht trübe. oben ein riesiger schaumberg, der sich recht stabil gibt. der geruch ist süß-säuerlich und bringt fruchtnoten mit von zitrus und saurem apfel. erinnert sehr an cider. der antrunk ist hefig und säuerlich-fruchtig. dahinter eine honigartige süße, die schnell deutlicher wird. blumig. zur mitte gesellt sich hopfen hinzu, spürbar aber dezent. der abgang bleibt primär fruchtig und leicht säuerlich, auch hier zitrus und saurer apfel, dazu etwas kiwi. etwas hefe. die demi-bouteille sieht an sich schick aus, die etikettengestaltung ist alles andere als harmonisch. das gehört dringend renoviert, wie auch die heimseite. fazit: die nähe zu belgien ist unverkennbar. das ganze erinnert stark an ein dubbel. und so würde ich es auch einordnen. an sich recht gelungen, die säure tritt aber zeitweilig zu deutlich in erscheinung. auf jeden fall gut trinkbar. 13,11,10,10,8,10 10,35
